We are going on a quick one next 12/26 /27 pretty much strictly to soak up the holiday theming and decorations of WDW.

Trying to pick the country restaurant that may best capture the Holiday Spirit I am guessing that the ROse and Crown might take the prize. That is assuming that the English / Dickens Christmas theme is what they emphasize. How do, or do the countries' restaurants adjust their menu and/ or their decorations for the season?

You know, I didn't really notice them doing too much at the WS restaurants during the holidays. I mean, they weren't overly decorated I didn't think. I don't recall seeing special menus for them either. I think I would choose Le Cellier though.

I don't think the WS does any adjustments to the menu or the decor. I don't remember seeing any inside decorations at restaurants when we've been at Christmas. I know that at MK LTT does special meals, but I'm not sure about any places at Epcot. The American CS has a little gingerbread house inside, but that's the only thing I remember noticing.

I would do a CP ressie and enjoy not only the ambience and food but the CP as well. HTH :sunny:

We went to Le Cellier on the 27th and I'm pretty sure they did have some Christmas decorations. What made it special for us is that we unexpectely timed our ADR so we could watch the Canadian Santa story time right before lunch. It was very festive.

Thanks to all for your information. I am a bit surprised. I sort of thought the whole of wdw transformed and that the countries, especially their restaurants would too.

Not overly disappointed though. In fact, given my druthers I'll go eat in Mexico.

Thanks again.

BTW, is the Christmas Processional held in in the amphitheater opposite the American pavillion?

We do notice in some of the restaurants the decor is changed: Le Cellier and Biergarten off the top of my head. Biergarten is one of our favorites to do at Christmas time because of the show, and the fact that they add Christmas elements to the show.

Germany had the best Christmas atmosphere. It is decorated and the show was great as well. We stopped in only to see the show (mid-day) and were entranced by the atmosphere. Morocco, Japan, Mexico- nothing.

Biergarten in Germany is decorated on the inside at Christmas time, looks lovely. Food is fantastic and you get the show as well. Would make a perfect choice.

Agree 100%!!! Nothing beats the feeling of downing another tankard of brew to the sound of a tuba playing "Stille Nacht" or "Ah, Tannenbaum" :teeth:

Germany was definitely the best (and my DS got to light the Christmas tree in the show :thumbsup2 ). Le Cellier had some decorations.

Rose and Crown had nothing. We were seated outside under the added on canopy (it was awful I felt like we were in a garage), so maybe there were decorations inside.
