Looking for opinions on the resort with the best Christmas decorations.

Theres a lot of fun decorations at each resort incl the gingerbread houses however the one at the GF is a must see !

WL has the best Xmas decorations! The GF is a close 2nd followed by the BW & BC.

But I have to add that after staying at the WL last year for Xmas, the WL really feels like Xmas, if that makes sense lol

Agreed! GF and BC/YC are beautiful, but WL at Christmas is just spectacular!

They are usually all completed by the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.

The Deluxe resorts are generally the only ones with really great decorating. The Values basically just have a Christmas tree. There will be a list posted on which resorts have the infamous gingerbread houses. You can look on YouTube to give you an idea of the scope of the decorations.

The campground is a lot of fun even though it is not run by Disney. Many of the sites near the boat dock are decorated by people who come back year after year and try to outdecorate each other. The husbands are often retired computer programmers, engineers, and Disney enthusiasts who need a creative outlet for their energies and can put tens of thousands of dollars into their displays. The owners are often quite friendly and some even give out candy canes. Its not as regal as the WL or AKL decorations, but it is definitely something to experience if you are down there for the holidays.

My list in preferential order:
1) GF - beautiful huge tree, life size gingerbread house w/ the odor of gingerbread in the air, Christmas carols being played by the pianist on the grand piano in the lobby.
2) WL - huge tree w/ a backwoods decor, fire (not real wood) crackling in the large rock fireplace.
3) BC - the chocolate life size carousel, so whimsical.
4) AKL - Jambo - another huge tree and the lobby seems to lend itself to taking a seat and enjoying the ambiance.
