Best choice for offsite heavy duty ecv rental?

Our Disney trip is in late June, and I am going to have to rent an ecv due to endurance issues. I know I want to rent offsite, cheaper and more available. I read through the information in the sticky, several companies to choose from. I was hoping for some recommendations for the best choice for a heavy duty ecv. My size 28 self is not going to fit into a smaller one. We're staying off property and driving, so it would need to disassemble into the car, we have a midsized reserved now, but if needed we would change to something bigger. This will be my first trip with an ecv, so I'm a little our of my element here. Any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest calling some of the sites we have listed in Post #2 of the disABILITIES FAQs (click on the link in my signature to get there directly). Talk to the people who answer the phones; I know that they are "real" local people and not call centers. Tell them what you need and they will be able to give you specific information as well as rates.

And I hope the car you will be using is at least a full-size four door sedan; you will need that for transporting an ECV.

I rented the large 3 wheel model from Apple and was very happy..I am size 26. Plenty of room, held the charge and easy to manuever for $175 a week i will rent from them again in 2012.

We used Buena Vista Rentals - they are at the Boardwalk and are also offsite. They were very reasonable and the ECV held a charge very well.

We were staying at Boardwalk and rented from them a few weeks back. I'm not sure if they were heavy duty - we didn't ask for one, but they seemed big (much bigger than our personal EVC - which had died while we were at Disney - hence why we rented one).

When we've rented ECV's before, the rental company politely asks what size we are, and they know how much weight their various size scooters can handle. Sorta like goldilocks and the three bears -- they'll match you with an ECV that's just right. 8^) And if they can't, they'll refer you elsewhere.
