Best Chocolate Cake in the World

Come on, am I the only one who loves chocolate cake?

My downfall is the Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake at LeCellier.

LOVE the chocolate cake at MSB!!! They also had some darn good chocolate cake at the food court at POR.

i loved the Asian Chocolate Cake at Sunshine Seasons. Very delicious!
Here's a picture:

I've had it once or twice and I could taste it. That didn't sit right with me - when I have chocolate cake I just want chocolate, fudgy, moist, deliciousness.

I second this. If i am having chocolate cake i just want the normal choco cake with awesome fudge frosting. We have a bakery in NJ that has the best fudge frosting ever. you could just sit there and eat just that. i really wish i had the recipe but just cant duplicate it no matter how hard i try.

Oh, these all look great. Wish i had a slice and a big glass of milk right now.:cool1:

Well, I'll tell you what's not on the Best Cake list -

The chocolate cake from the Yak & Yeti outdoor counter service window at Animal Kingdom park.

It comes in a round plastic cup.

Cake should not come in a cup.

Cake should come in a slice, on a plate, like PP's picture of the Chocolate Whiskey Cake at LeCellier.

And if cake must come in a cup, it should at least taste good.

This did not taste good.

Very disappointing.

The chocolate whiskey cake at Le Cellier is to die for. Also, Turf Club at SSR had a chocolate lava cake that was probably the best chocolate cake I have ever had. Coral Reef used to have this chocolate wave thing (been a few years since I ate there).

For cs, the Norway bakery has a good chocolate cake and the Main Street Bakery has this chocolate bundt cake that is very good.

The Chocolate Peanut Butter cake at Boardwalk bakery is so good. I'm sure some people may not like PB, but it is soooooooo good. Don't miss the sweet shop if you are at the Boardwalk, they have some cool Miss America stuff in there.

Let me say, those little chocolate cakes that you get at the counter service restaurants are AWESOME !!! I am not a big lover of pure chocolate cake, but since my son & I were on the DDP in December of 2009, we got the carrot cake & the chocolate cakes as dessert at the Cosmic Ray's Cafe in Magic Kingdom. I tried a bite of my son's chocolate cake & it was so moist & it just melted in your mouth, it was sooooo good !!!!! Here is the photo, it may be small, but was HUGE on flavor !!!!

Ok, this is seriously not helping me on day two of my Diet for Disney!!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: But I already CAN'T WAIT to try that Tanzanian Chocolate Cheesecake at Jiko, YUM!!! Also the Beaches n Cream cake sounds amazing, but I don't know if I could go without my No Way Jose :rotfl::rotfl:

I love the peanut butter chocolate cake at Sunshine Seasons...so good! I am wondering if it is the same as what they have at the Boardwalk.

I also liked the chocolate cake at Raglan Road. I think it's chocolate Guiness cake (does not taste like beer though)

Hands down - Le cellier. I've had it 5 times and it never fails. My mouth is watering thinking about it. YUM.

I don't know if it's always on the menu, but we shared a flourless chocolate cake at Il Mulino that was soooo good! I don't remember what if it had frosting (I think it did) but I remember the huge berries that came with it. TDF

If you want a different counter service chocolate cake, the chocolate raspberry cake at the bakery at Norway is so good. It almost has a fudgey brownie consistency. It does have nuts just as an FYI.

Or the chocolate cake from the bakery in France. It's crazy rich chocolate. This would be DD's choice for her favorite WDW chocolate cake

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the Black Forest cake from the Germany pavilion!

It is the most moist, light cake you've ever tasted and it comes with delicious whipped cream and cherry fillling. :lovestruc

Well alrighty then....guess I know what I'll be doing every day while we're at WDW in August!!! There's lots of chocolate cake out there to try!!!

About the "cakes in a cup": I read here that one of the best desserts one DISer tried was the cake at Columbia Harbor House. I tried it and agreed. The cake was mostly icing and very moist and yummy. The last two time I tried it, though, it was "seasonal" cake with a lot less icing and not as great.

I'm always willing to give it another shot, though.

:thumbsup2
