My youngest daughter is a huge Chip N Dale fan. She even named her hamsters Chip and Dale. I'd love to take her to a character meal with these guys. It looks like they're at the Garden Grill, Chef Mickey's Breakfast, and maybe, Cape May Breakfast. Which one do you think is the best experience with these characters.

Thanks.

My boys love Chip and Dale too, and we have had great experiences at Garden Grill. Great character interaction and we thought the food was delish too

They're only at Garden Grill now.... which, by the way, is one of our families favorite dinners! Plus, the character interaction is excellent there!

The Garden Grill is great for character interaction. Dale spent a little extra time with my son and it made the meal so worth it.

Are they not at Cape May for breakfast? That is why we were going to go there.

Unfortunately they no longer are there, it is just Minnie, Donald, and Goofy. On the contrary, I am not sure if you have ever eaten here or not, but if you haven't, I would keep your ADR because Cape May is one of the best resort character meals. The food is always hot and fresh and the character interaction is awesome, this is a must do each time we are in Disney.

To the OP, another option, besides Garden Grill, is at FW Campgrounds, they have a nightly sing-a-long and campfire with Chip and Dale. It is free to get in the only thing is if you want to roast marshmallows, you could either bring the fixings or you can buy them there for like $12 I believe.

Wow. Thank you for your responses. I appreciate it. In the past, we avoided Garden Grill, because I can't stand the smell of the Land building. I suppose it's the food court, but whenever I step into that building I find the smell overpowering. So, I'm encouraged to hear that the food is good at Garden Grill. Is it more relaxed than other character meals. At the buffets, I always feel rushed to get food quickly and head back to the table for fear of missing characters.

We have several in our family who also wanted to go back to Chef Mickey's. Has anyone seen them there for breakfast?

Regarding the campfire at FW, does anyone know if there's a link to the movies that they're showing? I had thought about going there if we booked Hoop De Doo, but I didn't know about times, etc...

The campfire is usuallt at 7ish, and Chip & Dale will not show in rain, which you can not really plan for, but the sing a long is lots of fun, and held rain or shine. If you call FW directly, near the time of your visit, they can give you movie details.

They were not there for breakfast when we were. According to AllEars, they are only at the Garden Grill for character dining.
Also, I wondered if you avoided Soarin' because you don't like the smell? Just curious, not judging.

I would never skip Soarin', I just push through the building quickly. Our first visit to WDW back in 2001, my oldest daughter came down with what appeared to be food poisoning after eating a corn dog (yuck!) in the food court. Perhaps, the smell triggers something in my subconscious (I don't know). I just think the building has an odd odor, but that doesn't stop me from visiting it.

Last I knew they still had Chip & Dale at the Liberty Tree Tavern dinners in MK. You may want to double check but if they are still there LTT has the best food for pretty much any character meal, IMO

AllEars says there hasn't been a character meal at LTT since Jan, 2009. Sorry.

We ate at Chef Mickeys in 2007 and they were gone then.

No, Liberty Tree no longer has character meals.

I found Garden Grill food to be jsut OK. But character interaction was great.

Sorry.. Liberty Tree Tavern doesn't have characters any longer. :sad1: It used to be one of my favorite spots for character dining, too.

Love, love Garden Grill! We did this for my daughter's 1st birthday in Feb and had a great time. I didn't feel rushed at all. And the characters came around multiple times. Chip was pretending to eat Cheerios my daughter gave him and Dale was playing Peek-a-Boo with her. It was just really awesome character interaction. Plus I liked the food, too!

Good luck to you! Chip and Dale are must sees for me, too. :goodvibes If you can't catch them at a character meal, check with City Hall at MK to find out where they might be!

Same here. I've never stepped foot in LTT since they kicked Chip & Dale out. What they charge for the food there is not worth it without characters.

As far as dining experiences, we have only seen Chip and Dale at Mickey's Backyard BBQ and Garden Grill. We have seen them at the campfire, but it was pretty crowded when we were there.

The kids enjoyed Garden Grill (the rotation of the restaurant was also a plus for them). But my kids LOVE Mickeys Backyard BBQ. I have a great video of my then 4 year old DD and 70 year old mother dancing with Dale.
