I have asked this on the Orlando board and I thought I would ask you all too!

We will hopefully be visiting a yummy Chinese Buffet while in Orlando and was hoping you all could give me some recommendations of the best place to eat and why.

We are not very adventurous in Chinese food (sushie and crab are out for us!)we Love Sesame Prawn Toast, Spring Rolls, Barbecue Ribs, Salt and Pepper Chicken, Egg Fried Rice, Chicken Curry, Orange Chicken (we love the food court Chinese Orange Chicken), Sweet and Sour Chicken and a few more dishes.

So where shall we go?

Thanks

Not been to any Chinese buffet restaurants but ones that I've seen mentioned are:
5660 International Dr.
Orlando,FL 32819

or

Dragon Court Chinese Buffet, Lake Buena Vista

or

Only eaten at 2.
One was Las Vegas Buffet, chinese + other on 192 towards Kissimmee, don't remember exactly where but it was really bad, horrible food.

Other we have been to but not in last 2 years. Nice enough but not a massive choice, Pagoda Garden opposite Old Town. Was about $12pp but will no doubt have gone up in last 2 years. They also used to include 15% grat, I have no problem tipping but hate having it included.

Ming Court seems to get mainly good reviews, that's on I-drive. One I wouldn't recommend is PF Changs, I know some rave about it but we found it a million miles from our absolute favourite Chinese (Taipan here in Liverpool ;)) and not in a good way..!

Ugh I do NOT recommend Las Vegas...it is VILE!!! x

golden china on the 192,

we have been there a few times, its buffet style,

Im limited in what I eat chinese wise too lol

We have been the Taipan once for a lunchtime special and it was nice but my absolute favourite Chinese ever is the one on the East Lancs it used to be the Chung Ku opposite a pub I think the poub is called The Carr Mill.

It has changed names a few times and had a refurbishment recently and again changed its name so we are not sure if its the same food now but the prawn toast there was the best about an inch think and yummy!

We used to go on a Sunday for a set menu and the food was always as good as any other time mmmmmmmmmmmmm i want it now!

Food wise we found the 9 Dragons at Epcot OK - although it is not a buffet.

I would thoroughly recommend, however, that you don't stick your chopsticks in your noodles like this -

- as when I did it, it prompted the waitress to come running over, proclaiming to all the world that one of our party was going to die. :scared1:

Apparently to do this in China is very bad luck - I just wish she had been a little more subtle when sharing the wisdom of their customs, as it made for a very difficult afternoon - mainly because the kids were too scared to do any of the rides for fear of our impending doom occuring sooner rather than later.

There is a good value Chinese Buffet at under $8 just next door to Best Western Lakeside at 7769 Irlo Bronson Highway ( 192)
