In your opinion, what is the best princess meal option? We did Akershus last time, and we liked it but didn't LOVE the food. My four-year-old daughter is much more interested in dining with princesses than the other characters. We are open to lunch or dinner but not breakfast. No dining plan this time.

We really like Akershus breakfast and visit every trip! We also do 1900 PF Dinner almost every trip and the menu has changed every time over the last 5 years or so. We have always enjoyed the characters, but the food has varied. Last year it was our favorite meal of the trip, others it was ok standard buffet fare, and one year it was awful. They seem to keep changing the menu.

For Princesses, it's really just Akershus, CRT, and 1900 (Alice if you want to conisder her a princess in the morning, Cinderella at night). 1900 is great, and the cheapest as well, but has just a single princess (though there are other characters). I've eaten at Akershsus for each meal, and honestly I like it. The food doesn't blow me away, but I always thought it was good. CRT was a great experience, but nowhere near worth the money (Akershus had better food in my mind).

When are you going?

You could try the new breakfast at Trattoria al Forno. That is being advertised as Princes & Princesses, and the promo suggests that Prince "I'm kinda dumb!" Eric will be there with Ariel, and Flynn"the Smolder" and Punzie will also appear.

Flynn = totally the smartest of the princes, and thus probably worth the visit right there.

To be honest, I think it would be tough to pick a Princess character meal based upon the food. I can't say we have LOVED the food at any of the Princess meals. But if you are looking for Princess interaction then, without a doubt, I would say go to Cinderella's Castle. There is just something about meeting all of those princesses INSIDE the castle. Heck, just getting to spend time inside the castle is a treat!

We've done CRT breakfast where the princesses were wonderful and the setting was truly magical but the food was so-so; at Tusker House lunch we loved the food and the characters were good but the restaurant seems a little shabby (icky shabby not cool shabby); Chef Mickey's gets terrible reviews but we really liked the food and the setting and the characters were so great. We had DDs 6th birthday there and she still talks about it. Crystal Palace, however is our fave. Great food, beautiful setting and really fun characters. You don't get to see the Pooh characters just anywhere so CP's character interaction is really special.

I wouldn't go back to Tusker House or CRT. Chef Mickey's is a maybe or maybe not. I would eat at CP every time I'm in the Magic Kingdom.
