Best Character Meals at Christmas?

What do you feel the best character meals are during Christmas? (Both in and out of the parks) We know how crowded it will be, so if we go in to the parks, it will be for the earliest breakfast possible. (We are interested in hearing about breakfast, lunch, and dinner!) We have 4 children ages 3-14, who have never been to Disney on Christmas Day, and really want to make it special for them. (Our 14 year old loves the character meals as much as the 3 year old, so we are really lucky!) Thanks!

To be honest, I don't think they do anything that special. I've never been to WDW christmas week because I'm scared of the crowds, so I'm not too sure, but as far as I know, the characters still do their normal routine and are in the same costumes as usual. Maybe another diser may know better?

We have been twice during Christmas week. We have never gone to the parks on Christmas Day, but did do a character meal for Christmas dinner. We went to 1900 Park Fare and there was nothing special for Christmas.

This last time the grandparents took the kids to Liberty Tree Tavern the day after Christmas for dinner and the characters were dressed for the holidays.

Just ate at:
'Ohana on Christmas morning
Chef Mickey's for Christmas dinner

There wasn't any special menu or anything.
The characters may have had on holiday outfits...I can't recall.
**Both places did have pointsettias all around in the group photo that's taken upon arrival.

Nothing special happened Christmas Day 2004 at Crystal Palace or 2006 at 1900 Park Fare.

Going during the Christmas season we always feel that Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern sets the mood for us. The characters have on something for Christmas, a Christmas apron or scarf. We just love the atmosphere.:)

The only places we've seen characters dressed up for Christmas are Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner :santa: and Donalds Breakfastosaurus. I booked Donalds for Christmas eve breakfast one year because there was a picture of Santa Goofy advertising the meal in the Mickey Monitor and I thought it would be cute, but when we attended Goofy had something christmasy on but he wasn't Santa Goofy. I don't know if there will be something like that at Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House this year.

We always have dinner at CP before the Christmas party.:thumbsup2

I agree with everyone else, the character meals are not different at Christmas time. One thing I would suggest though, is having a character meal at 1900 Park Fare (dinner is the best time). The Grand Floridian has a huge Christmas Tree on display and your family can get a picture in front of it. There is usually a photopass photographer there in the evenings. They also have a cute gingerbread house in the lobby which makes for cute Christmas pictures.

Well no wonder I didn't see anything special - I didn't make it to either of those places this past Christmas! Next year for sure! :thumbsup2
