We're going to celebrate my daughters 4th birthday and we booked Ariel's Grotto lunch for one meal. What's your experience or suggestion for a second? Maybe not a character meal but some other fantastic alternative? Thanks!
Personally if you have the time I like getting a later character breakfast, such as 9 or 10 am. They tend to be much less busy and the kids can therefor get more time with the characters. We've done that twice with Surfs Up now and had a blast
I enjoy the food and Ariel's, but I always feel like its incredibly busy and the kids don't get that much time with each princess. I'm gonna give it another shot, hoping middle of the week it will be a little less crazy in an off time...

If you're at AG, have the cioppino! One of the absolute best things I've had at Disney.
For a little one the best of our best experiences are character meals. We enjoyed the Surfs Up breakfast last trip and breakfast at the Plaza before park opening is a lot of fun.
California Adventure. The OP probably should have posted this in the DL board for best results, but that's why you've never heard of it. It's a California thing.

When I went 2 years ago we did The Princess Breakfast at Akershus Restaurant and it was fantastic. I was 15 years old at the time and didn't feel out of place at all because I was a teen at a Princess Breakfast. All the Princesses came up to are table and were extremely nice. They signed my Autograph Book. The food was rather tasty to. I would highly recommend this place.
