We are going to be down from Dec. 13-19 this year for our honeymoon. Just curious which character meal would be best for a honeymoon. My parents did Disney for their honeymoon way back, but the character meal they did was overrun with kids. I know being at Disney there will be a bunch of young un's running around, but is there a character meal that would be better for a newly married couple?

Cape May Cafe's character breakfast is a lot quieter than most and the food is good, though the buffet is smaller than some of the others. The Garden Grove at the Dolphin does a character breakfast on the weekend and it is usually quieter as well because it's not as well known.

Cape May has great food! For a honeymoon, though, the castle would be magical!

To be honest, any character meal is going to have lots of kiddos. If you'd like some quiet, I recommend booking the first seating.

Every character meal is going to be "overrun" with kids (hey, it's Disney), however, there are certain ones that I feel are better than others. For instance, CRT is ordered off a menu and Ohana and Akershus are served family style. There's no getting up and having to wait in a buffet line, or deal with kids running around because they are getting up and down from a buffet. You can also request a private table, so you aren't seated "on top" of everyone else. We've lucked out at all three restaurants with great tables for two. While, for example we had a great table overlooking Cinderella's Castle at Chef Mickey, it was SO CHAOTIC! I can't imagine going back there without kids!

Breakfast or lunch at Tusker House. Breakfast at Cape May Cafe. Even though it is not a character meal I suggest Sanaa for either lunch or dinner while it is light outside. Get a window table and get bread service to watch the animals while eating delicious food.

Thanks for the tips! I'm going to look at doing the Tusker House one.

Hey there!

Tusker House is fantastic!!! I highly recommend it. Even if you wanted to go for Dinner time. They have fantastic food.

If you're looking for a dinner character meal, Garden Grill at Epcot is one of the best options. The food is phenomenal and I've always found it had fewer kids than other character meal options.

I second the Garden Grill for less kiddies. We did do a Chef Mickeys during a very early breakfast one day and I don't remember feeling like there were an abundance of kids or noise. Not that it would have bothered us big kids much lol.

I third the Garden Grill! The food is amazing, and from what I have noticed, it has considerably less kids than any other character meal I have been to. That being said, I think the Castle would be magical for a honeymoon! That is one of the places high up on our list for our honeymoon in January!
