I'm taking my boyfriend's 6 year old to Disney next November for her first trip. I want to make it as great as possible for her. When I was a kid we did a character meal every trip. We did Chef Mickey's several times. We did 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella once (I was 15 at the time and really wasn't interested so I don't remember much of it). We always have done the princess breakfast in Epcot several times and I remember that being a good place to meet all the princesses. We have also done Chrystal Palace a few times, too, but bf's daughter isn't really into Pooh. She loves the princesses so I'm thinking that would be a great idea, but she would also love Chef Mickey's because of the interaction and excitement. Help me weigh the pros and cons of different ones and possibly add some suggestions for me? I have a few months before I can make my dining reservations but I want to be well prepared!

Breakfast in Norway with the Princesses would be a good choice if she is into Princesses. You will usually see 5-6 Princesses. It is served family style with eggs, bacon, sausage and potato casserole. There is a buffet with cold items, danish, fruits, etc. Chef Mickey's is loud and fun and is a buffet. This will have the original five characters for the most part. In Animal Kingdom there is Breakfast with Donald. Again, a buffet (our favorite). Picture with Donald before entering. Goofy, Minnie and Daisy usually there.

I'm sure she will enjoy of them. You just have to decide which atmosphere and characters you want to do. I usually do them all and I have not kids:rotfl:

Enjoy planning your trip.

At Akershus, you also get a photo with one of the princesses that's included in the meal. Last time we did it, it was with Ariel. Have fun!:yay:
29 trips to Disney World and counting...next stop POFQ March 2014

Tusker House at Animal Kingdom has a very delicious character breakfast buffet. The have Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy and the whole family enjoyed it a lot. The nice thing about having a character menu in a park rather than at a resort hotel is the transportation. It is easier to get to a park than to a resort.

I LOVE CRT, and I'm not even bothered about the princesses, I just love eating in the castle. It's not cheap, but completely worth it! :wizard:

My favourite character is Mickey, and the best Mic character dining I think is Tusker House. Chef Mic is good too, but it gets mixed reviews. Cape May is great but a bit out of the way I think, unless you're staying at a Boardwalk resort. You you can walk from Epcot though, not very far. Good luck! :goodvibes
