DH always wants to do at least thing different on each trip. This time he is talking about a Character Dinner. Our DD's are 13, 10 & 10 (twins). Any ideas?

We have done many character breakfasts, also done Hoop Dee Doo & the Luau. Anyone ever done Mickey's Backyard BBQ? Our 6yr old niece may be w/ us also.

As you can see DD's are not real young so just wondering if anyone has done character dinners with children this age or if you pass on them.

On our last trip we had 13 DS 10 DNi and almost 5 DD. All the kids loved the character meals. DS has to eat at Donalds breakfast o saurus every meal and will "put up with" the other character meals because he loves the food. Personally I would suggest lunch at H&V since they don't have characters at dinner. Minnie looks great all dressed up in her gown. We also loved the food at 1900 PF when it was the villian dinner. Soon it will be a Cinderella dinner that sound like a lot of fun. I hope to get back down there while it is still going on.

We tried the backyard bbq last year.It was great for the younger kids but for adults and teenagers,we liked the Hoop-dee-doo better. Much rather sit down and be served a great meal instead of eating at picnic tables.

One of the best meals we had period, food AND characters included, was the Liberty Tree Tavern meal, featuring Minnie and Friends. Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale and Pluto were all there. The food is wonderful...ribs and turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes...it was like Thanksgiving. Really yummy.

As my name suggests im a bit of a tigger fan so my vote goes to Crystal Palace. Great characyers and wonderful food (ate far too much last time i was there THEN noticed the deserts ended up having 3 eek!)

I'm always going to make my kids do a character meal, no matter how old they are!

I think there is no best, it probably fluctuates day to day or trip to trip. Just depends on your mood, the quality of the servers that day and how much fun the characters are. I've never had a bad time at one. The best time we ever had though was at the Liberty Tree Tavern. The characters were really great that day.

I'd like to add another vote for Liberty Tree Tavern. Great character interaction & the food tastes pretty good too!! Have fun!!
