Hi, I'm looking to book a character dinner for my three daughters. 8,8 and 5. We are on the DDP. We only want to use one dining credit for this. We are booked at the Mickey Mouse one at the Contempary but we're having second thoughts. I'm afraid my 8yr olds might be bored with this one

My friend said she went to one with Cinderella that was a buffet that was really good. She can't think of the name though.

Any thoughts and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Without a doubt 1900 park fare. That is likely what she is thinking about. Dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella.

They put on an amazing show throughout! We had a table right beside where Cinderella and Prince Charming danced and Cinderella asked my daughter to dance, and the prince asked our daughter's friend.

There is also a nice princess meal at Epcot - in Norway. We often do it for breakfast but I believe it is also offered for lunch/dinner. As for Chef Mickeys - my DD11 still enjoys this rest. which I would have thought she long ago outgrew. Then again she also likes to go to Crystal Palace for the Pooh Bear and Friends. She is a tween any other time but in Disney she is still a kid when it comes to the characters :)

I also suggest 1900 PF. It is not an overly princessy dinner and you're girls are old enough to enjoy the show the step-mother and sisters put on, very comical!

Most kids love Chef Mickeys! But, If you want a Princess meal, 1900 PF@ the GF or Akershus at Epcot are great choices!

We just returned from 10 days at WDW in December. We ate at Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Askerhus, and 1900 Park Fare and by far all of us said that 1900 Park Fare was our favorite!! My DD(10) and DS (4) LOVED it. The food and the character interation was by far the best. We all discussed it and if we could only go to one character meal it would be 1900 Park Fare.

Have a great time!!

Trish

I agree with PP. 1900 Park Fare for dinner is wonderful. Even my 9 yr. DS had fun. The step-sisters are very funny. We also like Chef Mickey's.

Beware that the Akershus Princess dinner at Epcot is Norwegian food. Kids 8,8, and 5 (not to mention some adults) may not like the food there at lunch and dinner. However, I just looked at the menu and it doesn't seem as "eclectic" as it used to be. Their kids menu for children 9 and under is more Americanized than I remember too. They have a pizza now.

Akershus dinner is also much more expensive than 1900 Park Fare. We do Akershus breakfast and 1900 Park Fare dinner. We did Chef Mickey's once and probably won't go back. It was fine, but we like others better.

We have lunch reservations there. Is the food really that bad? From looking at the menu, it doesn't look all that exotic. Maybe it's in the preparation?

My vote for dinner would be 1900 PF @ GF...but if they want to see a lot of princesses I would go with breakfast @ Akershus in Norway. The food for breakfast is pretty normal, lunch & dinner have a Norweigian flare to them but I am sure they will find something they like and since you are on the dining plan you will only have to pay for the tip. Why not do dinner @ 1900PF and breakfast @ Akershus. That way you have the best of both worlds. We do both on every trip with a visit to the castle too...can you tell I have 3 princesses!:rotfl:

I would say 1900 PF, it was excellent-the food & character interaction. We were very dissapointed by Chef Mickey's-food was average and characters were very rushed.
