This is our first trip, and we are clueless! Any suggestions for a Character Meal? Our 4 year old really wants to eat with Mickey.

Chef Mickey Breakfast at the Contemporary Resort is our favorite breakfast. You'll be greeted by Goofy, then get time with both Mick and Min during a very extensive buffet breakfast.
My suggestion is that you book an early breakfast (7:30-8:00)....then when you're done, you hop on the monorail and go right to Magic Kingdom!!
Have fun -- your 4-year-old is going to love it!!!!!

THANKS!!
Would you do Breakfast or Dinner? What time is best?

:Pinkbounc Definitely Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary. It's sooo much fun and the food is great, too. Have a wonderful and magical time! pixiedust:

DH read this thread of my shoulder and said, "ALL OF THEM!"

Chef Mickey's is great for breakfast...we haven't been there for dinner yet.

We also LOVE Garden Grill in Epcot. Farmer Mickey always stops by to color with my kids (all 3 of them ~ DH included)

Mickey is also at 'Ohana for breakfast which is another good monorail stop if you are looking for a quick stop before hitting MK!

My Passporter also says Mickey is at Donald's Breakfastosaurus at AK, but we have never tried that meal so I don't have personal experience to back that up.

We loved Donald's Breakfastosaurus!! Mickey was there, and so was pluto, goofy, and of course Donald. It really was fun, and if you make it early enough after breakfast you may be able to run over to the sarfari ride before it gets crowded.

Also, if you go there be sure to run over to camp Mickey and Minnie!! Almost ALL the character's are over there. There are sooo many chances to meet character's at the AK.

Have a great trip!!

Another vote for Chef Mickey's. :mickeyjum We like to eat dinner there on our first night. After dinner we ride the monorail around and see Epcot and the Magic Kingdom all lit up. We don't use a park ticket that day.

Orlando is an hour later than Arkansas. So it's really difficult for us to be ready by 7:00. :sunny: We prefer to go straight to the parks instead of stopping to eat a sit down breakfast. It's amazing how much you can get done before the parks get crowded. :wave2:

Another vote for Chef Mickey's and I agree...go to the parks early when it's not so hot and the crowds are smaller. Go to Chef Mickey's when everyone else is standing in line for 90 minutes to ride Space Mountain. We did dinner and the kids had a blast. Chip and Dale were there )along with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy) and one of them suggested that I was a little bit crazy which my DS and DD remind me of everytime we talk about Disney.

I've heard Chef Mickey's is the best - I hope so, that's where we're going!
