Going to be at DW in March 2018.....my wife wants to do another character breakfast for our son. We did Ohana a couple years ago and it wasn't bad, but I was thinking about changing it up this time. I was thinking maybe Tusker House. Is that a good option or is there something better?

I have never been for breakfast, but yay Tusker House! I think your son will enjoy it :)

Tusker House is a great pick! We don't do a ton of character meals and aren't buffet fans in general, but Tusker House is the exception that we make. The offer traditional breakfast fare, but then add in some truly unique options that put it over the top!

Tusker is my favorite character breakfast! The characters are adorable in their safari outfits and the breakfast selection is great.

NOTE:
Above results are listed from best to worst in each category.
Overall, Tusker House wins due to best food and the length of time the characters stay at each table.
A close second is 1900 Park Fare. By far, Chef Mickey's is the loser, due to mediocre character interaction and almost terrible food quality.
The very distant second worst is Cinderella Royal Table, for brief time at tables by characters and the new menu.
For non-character breakfast buffets, we prefer The Wave (CR) or Trail's End (FW).

We did 1900 for breakfast two summers ago, it was cute. I prefer the breakfast food at Whispering Canyon or Trails End though.
And if I were to pick a time to go to 1900 it's definitely dinner. The character interaction is amazing & the food is really good.

We haven't been to Tusker house (it's on a list for next time!) but we enjoyed Cape May Cafe for breakfast, if you wanted a non-park breakfast.

We've done Tusker, Crystal Palace, Hollywood & Vine, and Chef Mickey's breakfasts. Our favorite is CP, but a lot of that is for the puffed French toast. :goodvibesTusker is good, as others have said, but CP is one we've returned to multiple times.

What is it about 1900 that makes it so good? I was trying to explain it to a friend. Seems like less variety than CM and not as pretty a room/view as Ohana. I have no special fondness for Alice characters or Mary Poppins, but do like Pooh. Yet when asked which is my favorite I still rank it number 1. It just has that... something. Or I really like strawberry soup.
