My friends and I are currently discussing going to a character breakfast this August. Our group of four contains two Disney veterans who have fond memories of character breakfasts when we were kids at WDW, but the other two have never done it before. They're interested in going to one, especially since it's an easy way to see so many characters! However, we're obviously not the target audience for the character meals (ranging from 25 to 28), and I don't really know the differences between the various options at the resort.

Which of the character breakfasts offered at the Disneyland Resort would you recommend for a group of adults who want to experience the magic? :) Thank you!

We like Plaza Inn inside DL. just made reservations for Tues for 2 adults and 2 teens.

I'd vote for Plaza Inn, and I plan to do breakfast there on our next trip! It has the biggest variety of characters and it is actually IN Disneyland so you get great atmosphere as everyone is flooding into the park! As soon as you are done, you get to join them!

Have fun!

We do character breakfast all the time with adult trips. We always have the most fun at Mickey's Surfs up at PPH hotel. We do not go for the characters specifically, but at Goofy's Kitchen they just seem to make a quick stop by once to check the box, at Minnie's the characters are all about the kids, at Storytellers...not too interesting of character for us and never impressed with the food...at Ariel's its kinda creepy interacting as adults with the princesses as adults when you can see the person that is NOT hidden in a costume!

The characters at Surfs Up are always more engaging and fun doing things like stealing sunglasses and hats and sneaking up on folks. They very much will gauge the interaction and how much they do based on the vibe of the group.

I would either do Plaza Inn and make an early reservation so you can get in the park a little before opening. Great and varied character interaction (even for adults!), okay breakfast buffet. Another option is Storytellers Café at the Grand Californian. I really like the atmosphere of this restaurant and prefer the food. The characters are different (less classic disney but still fun) and the interaction is great. Plus you can roam around the hotel and experience its beauty!

Thank you for the suggestions! I'm really tempted by Storyteller's, but pretty sure the one member of our group won't recognize the characters, so we're gonna go with Plaza Inn. :D

Maybe you need a movie night before the trip.
Watch the Disney movies to learn the characters.
