What would be the best place to eat at for a character breakfast and a character dinner. Our party will consist of young to mid adults and we want to do one of each. We love and think Goofy's Kitchen at the DLR is a blast. Is there anything comparable with good quality food at WDW?

We have and will be eating at chef mickeys at the contemporary. It's a buffet and I think it's pretty good. They have Mickey and friends there. I beleive they offer breakfast and dinner. We are doing Mickeys backyard bbq, its a show with characters, but the characters don't come to the table. :hippie:

We really loved 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. We went there both of breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was obviously pretty standard as it is almost anywhere. Dinner was really good. It was probably the one dinner of the entire trip we enjoyed the most. That said I've seen bad reviews for it.

The strawberry soup was great, coq au vin was amazing, good mashed potatoes. It isn't really gourmet but very good comfort type food. The desserts were out of this world - I'd be tempted to skip the dinner just to fill up on dessert :rotfl:

We love the 'Ohana breakfast at the Polynesian! It's served family style with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo & Stitch.

We love Crystle Palace in MK and the characters are Pooh and Friends. We always try to get reservation before the gates open so we can walk down main street with only a handful of people there. We've gotten pictures with us in front of the castle with no one in the background. The food is a buffet and is good.

Our favorite is Crystal Palace for breakfast. Love the atmosphere and Winnie the Pooh and friends. Plus the buffet is very good. :thumbsup2

We have done virtually all the character meals at WDW and DL and truthfully none are that great. But we love the characters!

Our fave's were:

Ohana breakfast with Lilo & Stitch

and

Crystal Palace dinner

Excellent food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service at each!

Would also recommend Donald's Safari Breakfast at AK, 1900 Park Fare dinner at GF, and Chef Mickeys. :)

We really loved 1900 park fare for dinner at the GF. The Character interaction was terrific and the food was good.

Don't know if it still around or if they are still doing it, but we really enjoyed the character breakfast at Animal Kingdom in Restaurantsaurs. I think it might have changed locations though. The characters (Mickey & the Gang) were all in safari wear, the food was pretty good (a buffet), it was just all around fun!

The only character breakfast I have done are CM and CP!! I love both but I love CM a little more. So good.

We love: Ohana Best Friends Breakfast at the POLY and
eat there every trip.
We also really enjoyed: Donalds Safari Breakfast at AK.
This one is the only one I know where Daisy is part of
the Characters.
The food and the Atmosphere at both were wonderful
so was the Character interaction.

We've only ate at Chef Mickey for Dinner once
(lots of guest like it but it was our least favorite--
poor food quality, very noisy and a bit pricey)--I've heard good things
about Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare though.

Absolutely loved Donald's Safari Breakfast at AK.
Grab a 8am ressie and you'll finish in time to be first in line for the safari which is right outside Tusker House.
Food and character interaction both great. Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey all stop by every table individually. Goofy led the kids around the room in a dance- so fun for all!
I highly recommend breakfast here!

We've done Chef Mickeys breakfast, Garden Grill, Mickeys Backyard BBQ, O'Hana breakfast and Tusker House breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed them all, and would recommend each highly. We always go to CM's on our first full morning at WDW - it's a great way to start a vacation !

Thank you for the ideas! There are too many to choose from. I'm sure we will be happy wherever we choose.

Breakfast - Crystal Palace - Puffed French Toast!

Dinner - Liberty Tree Tavern - oops, forgot they took the characters away

I've been to both Goofy's Kitchen at DLR and Chef Mickey's at WDW and they're practically identical. If you like Goofy's, then you need to go to Chef Mickey's for breakfast.

Our crew (me, DW, DD (2) and DS (7)) loves the Garden Grill, but I think they've removed the characters. The food was extremely yummy, I love the rotating restaurant and the scenery, and the characters seem to be more interactive than they are at other places.

Since there probably are not characters there, I'd go with Crystal Palace. The character interaction is pretty brief compared to some of the other character meals on property, but the food is great for dinner.
