best chance of getting requested loop

Okay... even though my trip is 3 months away I am already thinking. We are scheduled to arrive in Orlando Friday at about 9p.m. We requested the 100 or 200 loop. Would I have a better chance of getting it if we just stayed offsite the Friday and got there early Sat. morning? In other words, do the best sites go to the early arrivers, or...do you have a certain site assigned and no one else will get "your spot"?
Any advice from the FW pros?
Thanks,
Jean

Your site will most likely be assigned a couple of days before you arrive, if you arrive early you may not have your site till after 1pm. The last three times we arrived at 10.30 am and had to wait in the overflow lot. They usually get the requests done.

This past June 07 we requested Loop 300 and it was assigned but we could not fit our 5th wheel in it so we ended up in Loop 800 with a great site.

I am so undecided about requesting a loop. We already reserved a preferred site. We like to be close to the main building to refill drinks quickly (trading post?) and a close walk to the pool. Hmm... anybody have any suggestions?
