OK - havent asked DH about this yet - however, if I were to book a cruise for next year instead of waiting (think that's what I really want)
what should i look for in a cat 8? Im at least doing a porthole window since i had to give up my spr (which also was a disappointment) I know some are on deck 5 which I thought would have been very convenient to the oceaneer lab. Are there any cat 8's that are in the middle of the ship on other decks?
And if I splurge (was going to do 316pts anyways) what is the best I can do for 600 pts for 2ad, 1 ch?
Thanks

Good Morning. I hope you are feeling better today! Here's my advice....We loved the location of the spr's on deck 5 so much that we said we'd book other rooms on that hall if they were unavailable for our next cruise. The deck 5 rooms are really quite set apart, which we loved. It was convenient for the children to run back to the room after leaving the lab. It was also very easy to walk down to dinner and shows, as well as not too far to go up to deck 9. I'm sure the other decks would be great too though.

I can't help but think that cruising on points is a bad deal. Can you rent those 600 points out for $10 per point & spend $6000 on a cruise? I'm sure you could get a fantastic cabin for 3 for that amount! Our cat 6 (low season 2004) for 2 adults & a child is $3200 with no insurance or transfers.

Can't help with the cat 8s, but we loved our cat 6, deck 6. We were in 6094 (sleeps just 3) between the midship & aft elevators. We found it very convenient!
