Best Campground in Kentucky

Hello everyone, i'm shans . I live in Florida,USA. I love camping. Next week i will go to Kentucky. Looking for a campground near Kentucky for group tent camping. Suggest me some campground like Kentucky horse park Thanks.

Carter Caves in Eastern Kentucky has a lot to do along with having a lodge that has a really good buffet. just saying. The main bath house is not real good but they built a new one a couple of years ago in the "horse section" that is open to all campers. The tent camping area is very popular for large groups. The area Boy Scouts camp there a couple of times a year. During the regular camping season, they have a swimming pool, mini golf, cave tours (all year long), horse back riding and fishing to name a few. Really is a good campground if they would just improve the main bath house.

We will really like the Kentucky Horse Park campground in Lexington. They have a group tent area I believe. Very nice campground with lots to do including horseback riding of course.

The majority of our camping is at the Horse Park. Our son lived in Lexington for the past 11 years and or daughter, son in law and new grandson live in Winchester. The Horse Park is just a really good option for us. We also have season tickets for UK baseball so great for the weekend series.

We live in northern Kentucky, about 10 minutes from Cincinnati Ohio and the horse park is about an hour drive for us. We usually go there once or twice a summer. You should PM when you are going to be there @JETS70 maybe we can meet up this summer and say hi!
