Best Camcorder for WDW

Please let me know what camcorder you use to video tape at WDW and works very well for night shows (fireworks, parades, Fantasmic). We purchased a Sony HDR-SR11 and we are having trouble with the autofocus. All the night shows we taped were for the most part, out of focus. (Everything taped in daylight is okay). We bought the display model from the Future Shop, thinking we got a good deal, and now I'm thinking we got a lemon. We've asked for help, but with little to no success. If any one else has this camcorder do you have the same problem and were you able to get it fixed? Thanks in advance to all those who respond

I cannot weigh in on a camcorder suggestion, but I would suggest picking up a tripod.
