During my last trip to WDW, I used one of these: Sony DSC-HX9V

OK, you ask why I am showing you a digital stills camera! I think, coupled with an extra battery and a high capacity memory card (maybe a couple of these!,) this is better and more versatile than any video camera. Here are some reasons why:
- This camera can shoot at 1080p resolution at 50/60 fps (better than any current display can cope with!;
- The 16x optical zoom can still be used whilst shooting video;
- The camera features Sony's image stabilization;
- High resolution stills can be taken during video shooting (provided you are not using the top video resolution - the resolution that is better than any current TV can display!)
- The camera has HDMI out
- The camera is compatible with SD cards, you do however need high speed ones (i.e. class 10.)
This camera is now an old model here in the UK. so I assume it is in the US. I have seen them being sold for as little as £100 ($160) - might be worth a look on eBay!
I have some footage which I took in WDW with this camera uploaded to
YouTube, if you would like, I can post some links to it.
