All of the burgers are the same... however the burgers at Deluxe resorts and TS are cooked to order and it make a world of difference in how they taste.. can not speak for moderate or values they may be the same.. Either way we rarely order burgers at Disney...

I don't think that started yet---we have an ADR in November for 6:30PM. Unless the non-ADR rule is for lunch hours only?
If you made the ADR before they started that then they'll still honor it

Skip the burgers in the parks. If the "sandwhich king" burger at the Boathouse is like the one at Gibson's in Chicago, it will hands down be the best burger on site and well worth the trip to DS. :tigger:

I would love to hear everyone's personal opinion of where the best burger in Magic Kingdom can be found. I often see recommendations for burger places outside of the park but I'm really interested to see a hierarchy of burgers and recommendations for places inside the park. Be as detailed or as vague as you prefer!
There are no good burgers at MK. I wouldn't even say there are edible burgers at MK.
That's why the recommendations are outside the park.

Haha! This thread is funny and informative. My partner likes fastfood burgers, me not so much. Have breakfast and lunch ADRs, but nothing for the evening. Didn't want to leave the park or worry about another ADR. Figured a burger place might be best... but looks like I might need to figure again! Appreciate all the straight shooters. ;)
Tell your partner the burgers at MK are about like eating a day old burger from McD's. If that good.

Do y'all like fish/seafood? Columbia Harbor House isn't bad.
We love Pecos Bills for a build your own burrito like Chipolte type place. I just load up with toppings on a burrito and eat it with a fork, vs trying to fold it. Not half bad. Better than a burger for sure.

In general, I would avoid a fixin's/toppings bar where there are a lot of unsupervised kids present. I've seen a lot of "lose your appetite" things happen at places like these. I would stick to condiment packets.

LOL! He actually does stick McDonald burgers in the fridge....

He likes seafood, I have been known to vomit on the smell alone. (Florida will be a test!)

I try to avoid anything that is "buffet" style as the cleanliness habits of others are sometimes frightening and I get sick very easily.

So glad I asked before just taking him somewhere though!

I assumed as much- but thanks for confirming!

Plaza burger isn't bad. All the other QS burgers are equally poor, plus I refuse to go to Cosmic Rays because last time we were there it was disgusting -- food on the floor, tables, all over the toppings bar, etc. If you are looking for QS then Columbia Harbor House is a good choice with a number of different options, but no burgers. When we are at MK we either eat QS at Be Our Guest or Columbia Harbor House, make reservations at Plaza (which I guess you can't do anymore), hop the monorail to one of the resort restaurants, or just head over to Epcot or our resort for food. People always talk about how poor the dining options are at Hollywood Studios but MK isn't much better.

I originally was planning on going to Columbia Harbor house, but when I looked closer at the menu I don't think there's anything he'd LOVE to eat, and I would only be able to eat steamed broccoli, which doesn't exactly sound thrilling.

We only have one day in the parks, and we picked Magic Kingdom as first-timers. If we return, Epcot is definitely something we want to see. That being said, it is a 9-9 park hour day, and we wanted to maximize the in-park time without having to worry about leaving and coming back, etc. I have Ohana and Be Our Guest lined up for breakfast and lunch. After that....

I'm sure we'll come up with something, but what a shame there isn't a decent burger around!

It's open. They only do ADRs from 11a-12p now..the rest of the time, they only take walk ups. (Fairly recent change)
This is useful, thanks. On the disney website it still directs you to make an ADR but it just shows no availability. Google just says it is permanently closed. Wonder how crowded it will be around 4-5 pm?

I haven't ordered a burger at Plaza or LTT. Are they really the same burgers that are served in the QS restaurants? Many years ago I had a burger at Sci-fi & it wasn't the same as the QS burgers. I remember the burgers at B&C basically being the same as QS, but Sci-Fi was much better. If they're really the same, that's a shame. You should be able to expect better quality at TS restaurants.

My favourite burger in WDW is definitely the Grand Floridian Café as it's topped by a poached lobster tail. Not in MK I know but only a monorail ride away and well worth a little detour

Thanks for the recommendation! Unfortunately my husband doesn't like lobster and I think that place might be a touch fancy after a day walking around in Florida heat. We were really trying to stay in the park. He tends to like simpler foods anyway.

I've only had one decent burger in the parks and it was at EPCOT. MK... I'd just go get mac and cheese or a hotdog.

Thanks for the input! A hotdog might work for him. Alas, he vomits at the sight and smell of pasta...

:)

At home, we tend to either eat separately or veer towards healthier Asian, Mexican, or Mediterranean options when we share a meal. Definitely sounds like Epcot will be much easier for eating should we ever get back.

I guess I'm in the minority. I like fast food hamburgers, and I like the hamburgers at the QS restaurants. However, I think they are way overpriced for what they are. That's probably because they assume you will fill up on the condiments (which we do!), so they can somewhat justify the high price.

I prefer Pecos Bill because the southwest burger comes with a side of tortilla chips, and we get lots of toppings from the condiment bar (yes, we take the risk ), so we make our own nachos which is a nice bonus.

Yep--"Tallest mountain in Kansas" territory.
Or Ocean Front property here in Tennessee

Any favorites inside the MK? Wondering if I should start another thread...

Y'alls list of options is dwindling fast!
What about lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern? TS, not QS. Lunch has several options, including a mediocre burger. There might be pasta in his sight though, so I'll warn you now.
Casey's has a darn good hot dog but it's just that, a hot dog. If it was between that and a burger we'd pick the hot dog (it's one of DHs favorites.
I would not step foot in Cosmic Rays myself. It's just vile.
We love Pecos but I ain't skeered of no germs in the topping bar ;) You can go and not get toppings, if you are good with plain chicken/rice/beans in your burrito. It's very good.
I'm too afraid to try Diamond Horseshoe, the reviews have been below awful.
Pinocchio's is alright but I can't say I'd recommend it quite honestly. Flat Bread Pizzas that are rather soggy for my tastes.

Poly is a boat ride away and has a darn good QS location that won't take you too long to get to and eat at. Captain Cooks

Thanks for the suggestions. I have breakfast and lunch covered- Ohana and BOG. The evening was more of the wildcard. I didn't want to worry about another ADR, wanted flexibility and something easy. Easy and Disney don't seem to pair well!

We already have reservations for two meals at the Polynesian- Ohana and Kona Cafe, and are also planning to check out Trader Sam's too. I will definitely keep Captain Cooks in mind-but it seems like we will be spending all of our time at the Polynesian! I'll have to see how timing goes on the day, maybe getting over there in the evening won't be too bad. The menus at that resort's restaurants are definitely the most interesting to me! Any idea how long it would take to leave the park, eat, and come back in the 4-6 p.m. time period?

I am interested in the Jungle Canteen in Adventureland too (I rarely see it mentioned here?) but it is pricey and a bit of a gamble with the stomach-effecting meds I am on.

I love Skipper's Canteen but with the aforementioned dining and dietary preferences requirements I elected to leave it off the list. We think the food is good but it's not for everyone.

I'd say you'll have 60-90 min to leave MK, boat to Poly (my advice vs. monorail with it's several stops), eat and boat back.
Nice tidbit, time it around dusk and you can catch the torch lighting ceremony at the Poly (very fun)
