My wife and i are going to stay at the POP the 26th. I am going to try and request a certain building. Does anyone have suggestions on what the best buildings at the POP are? And any other need to know about the resort. Thanks for the help, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Michael

Best bet is to get out a map of the resort and see where you might like to be. Did you pay for a preferred room? If so, then you can be close to the main building. If not, you will be further away.
Do you want a quiet lake view or a noiser pool view? Higher floor? Lower floor? Look at the map and see what suits you best. Everyone has a different opinion as to what is 'best'. I like a ground floor room right beside the pool near the main building, but the next person would say they want a 4th floor room overlooking the lake.

As for info on the resort...find the Pop Info thread on this forum - there is tons of info there for you!

If you don't want to walk a long distance to the food court, I would suggest a preferred room in the 50's section..

Wondering about this, convenience is very imp. to us and I think it would be a lot of fun to stay 1st floor by the 60's pool. So, my question abt. all of the noise complaints is this: is it noise where you can't sleep at night and your kids can't possibly take a nap or noise just in the sense that the minute you step out of your room you can tell you're in the middle of all of it?

Thanks!

I could hear it clearly from inside our room - and we were on the third floor.. I can only imagine what it would have been like on the first floor - along with all of the foot traffic walking by..

On my other preferred trip, I was on the backside of the Play Dough building - facing the lake - on the top floor.. That was great! Nice and quiet and could catch Iluminations from my window..

Sorry, which bldng is the Play Dough bldng? Is it the 50s? How far from the 60s pool, bus stops, and food court were you?

Thanks a lot!!

What about the building that the the fooseball players in between them? It seems to be located well (not to far from anything) and may be easier to get then a preferred room?

I also liked to idea of being able to watch illuminations from the room on the back side of the playdoo building. Which decade is that though?

I would think that the 50's and 60's buildings would be more sought after by guests since they are closer to Classic Hall. :)

We stayind in a preferred at the POP in the 70's section. Right by the Mickey telephone, it was only about a 5 minute walk to the food court and the pools. We loved it!!
