Best Building for POR?

I just booked two rooms for POR in July. I requested building 14 because it seemed to be close to the pool and main buildings. Now I'm worrying!
Also, does anyone know which buildings have been refurbished?

We requested a mansion room and got one at Paterre. We loved it there. Our room was facing the river and it was great to see it every morning. We turned right going out, crossed the bridge and was at the main building with the food court, bike rentals, lobby, general store, and such. About a two minute walk and the main bus station was right outside the bus station. It was removed, but not far from the main amenities. Plus, it's really neat to be a building that looks like an old southern mansion, and our room was beautiful.

If you prefer the rustic feel of the Alligator Bayou section, then building 14 is great. If you like the mansions, I think that Parterre Place is the best!

They are currently doing rehab on lodges 14, 15, 16,17, 18. All others lodges are finished already. Everything will be done by July.

Lodge 14 is the best to pick. (18 is a close second).

We are going in June/July as well and I really like the looks of the mansion section. Which is the prettiest and closest to food court and main pool ?? Thanks !!

I struggled with this but figured that the Alligator Bayou rooms resembled the WL which we loved. Check on the map on the Allears website. You can get a pretty good idea of the location of the buildings. Happy hunting!

Hello Luv4Disney:

When you were facing the water did you ask for a waterview, or just a location nearby the river? Also is that facing the walkway with all the beautiful trees along it.

Thanks,

Deb.

I'd like to know the answer to this too b/c if the codes come out and possibly even if they don't  we may stay here for the 2nd part of our land/sea. I requested the Magnolia Terrace Mansion b/c it was non smoking and seemed centrally located.

I just looked at the pictures for the mansion rooms again and they are beautiful-- I am switching my request to Paterre Place! I get so wrapped up in all of this. Here I go--dreaming about DW again!

We stayed in Oak Manor 3 years ago. Our room was on the first floor and about 30 feet from the small pool/laundry. We never went to the main pool as my kids loved having the small pool to themselves. It was a two minute walk to the main lobby/restaurant. The room itself was nice, typical of a room at Disney. I would stay there again in a minute! :teeth:

Last year we stayed in building 14. It was 5 minutes from the food court & buses. Loved it. highly reccommend it. :cheer2:

I really like Parterre Place mansion. I've stayed there 3 times and each experience was better than the last! I request a room on the side nearest the quiet pool, as that side is just a few steps away from the bridge as well as the parking lot, which is important to us as we use the rental car alot. I believe my room #'s were 9712, 9720 & 9724. They were on the 2nd floor so no worries about little footsteps overhead and the rooms are all renovoted with the frig. I did not have water view, but only had to step out onto the walkway to see the river. Perfect location, IMHO!

I called and switched my request to Paterre PLace. Glad to hear you liked it so much! The rooms look beautiful. They actually remind me of GF rooms a little.

We did it through a travel agent. I believe she requested the water view for us, though it was not guaranteed. I don't specifically remember trees, but it was really beautiful, especially at night when it's quiet and you can hear the river and fountains running. Plus, there's the private 24 hour pool one mansion over. Sometimes we'd take a longer route just to enjoy the scenary. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo
