Best Building at CSR, for us...

...based on that we don't want to be by the convention center, lobby, Pepper Mill or a bus stop. We have a car and are looking for a quiet location and don't mind walking to the pool or food court. We are used to staying at CBR, so we are used to walking a lot. We are looking forward to our first visit at CSR. Any suggestions and why would be greatly appreciated.

Also, is 9A the only former smoking building?

We were in the Ranchos two weeks ago in bldg 7A. It was away from all the hustle and bustle of the resort and very quiet. You might also check with Buzz, our resident expert on all things CSR.

In addition to rancho 7a, here are some other good building choices...all of which have easy access to the parking lot and your car.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Rancho 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Rancho 6a is also a out of the way building close to the main pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building.

Which side were you on? The side that face the lake or the parking lot? My concern with that building would be facing the parking lot.

We've always gotten a king bed & had a lake view when we've stayed in the Cabanas. I don't know if all Cabana kings are water view-- maybe someone else has some info on avoiding the parking lot view.

Thanks for the information. I think I am going to stick with the 4 buildings I put on my request; Cabana 8A, Cabana 9B, Rancho 7B and Casista 5. I am hoping that I get one of my choices.

We have a standard rooom. I don't care if we see the parking lot, I just don't want to hear the noise from the parking lot.

I can help you with this one because I've stayed in both. While neither is in a busy area I would certainly go with 7A over bldg 5. The reason I say this is that 7A is far removed from both the lagoon and the path around it. No people taking walks or joggers. You can't go wrong with either one. All this is dependant on whether or not you get the building you request. We didn't either time. Maybe you'll be luckier.

I agree, there would be less foot traffic at rancho 7a because there is nothing past it.
