I was wondering where the best brunch in Orlando is. What made it so special for you?

At the Grand Cypress Orlando
not only is this the best brunch in Orlando
probably one of the best in the US
I think it's 50.00 pp-could be wrong (mabey 75.00)
This area in the hotel is only used for Sunday Brunch
You go into the kitchen and get your food-it's so cool.
They have several meals they will prepare for you
and 4 types of cavier.
It is wonderful

The Renaissance Resort in Orlando. Their Sunday Brunch is absolutely out of this world. And it's enormous! I have honestly never seen a brunch with so much to choose from, and all of it was fabulous!

Highly recommended. We took all of our family the morning after our wedding and just about had to roll out of the place. We ate way more than we should have because it was just that good!

What is the atmosphere like at the Grand Cypress Brunch. I have heard that the atmosphere at the Renaissance is very loud.

The Renaissance isn't loud. It's far too big a room to be loud.

Nope and Nope. I'm a local. The BEST Sunday brunch, hands down, is at the Peabody.

Anne

Anne, what makes the Peabody the best brunch?

Well, lets start with the food. Delectable. Simply to die for. An incredible selection of the freshest, sweetest, crispest, perfectly cooked foods which tantilize your taste buds and work wonderfully in unison.

The atmosphere is sublimely elegant but not stuffy and offers live jazz.

The service is impeccable. Personable, yet very polished. The Champagne flows freely.

And did I mention the famous Peabody Ducks? They march every monring at 11:00, and you ar emore than welcome to leave the restaurant to watch them parade down the red carpet and into the fountain.

Great brunches aren't that difficult to find. But the Peabody is more than a brunch, it's an experience.

Anne

another vote for the Peabody. it's the only one we've been to in O-Town and it's not inexpensive but......wow. we've got some nice ones on the west coast, but not as nice as that.

Anne, I'm not sure what you do but you should consider a career as a food critic. Thanks for the info.

just want to make sure-cause I will change. Have you been to the
Grand Cypress for Brunch?

Anne and cleo--do you remember prices for these buffets? And Anne, I agree you should be a food critic or a publicity writer. How eloquent!

Yes. We were there a year or so ago. Don't get me wrong, it was good. But it was not the best brunch in the area.

I do write professionally, but I review rock bands, not food LOL! OK, so some of what I review is candy--eye candy--but I don't discuss that in my reviews LOL! As the Marketing Director for the company I work for, I do a lot of writing at work as well, but I have to "dumb it down", as our clientele is not the most sophisticated as a general rule...

At any rate, I don't recall, but something in the $50pp range is probably about right. We had brunch at the Peabody this past Mothers Day, yummy!

Anne

Anne, if you review rock bands and "eye-candy" is it possible my daughters have read your work? (I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have - different candy tastes)

LOL! Probably not, I review for a local arts and entertainment rag here in Orlando. What bands do they like? I might have photo's of them on my web site I can give you a link for. (And I'm a huge fan of some Canadian bands--Theory of a Deadman, Thornley, Three Days Grace, Cowboy Junkies, to name a few)

the people who liked the Peabody for brunch-did you ever eat at
the Grand Cypress? This is important I might change my mind based
on those who have both

I answered this a few posts ago. I've eaten at both and much prefer the Peabody. I like the ambience a lot better, felt the service was better, the food was about the same. (It's pretty hard to screw up food at a high end brunch.)

I have 4 girls and their music tastes are all over the place - everything from Keith Urban to Green Day. Myself, I am into classic rock and will be catching Santana this weekend. Good way to spend our final weekend before AKL on Oct. 2.
