Hi! We are going to WDW in a couple of weeks and when don't have a character meal planned for breakfast we usually like to grab a tasty pastry or croissant from Main Street Bakery at MK but it looks like they are closed for renovation :( we are staying at POR so we may run over to POFQ to grab some beignets before leaving for parks but are there any other really great places to grab something for breakfast using a snack credit? I love the dis, you guys are always so helpful! TIA!

Gastons tavern has cinnamon rolls. I read they are slightly different but still the same size. The MSB ones.

I just remembered there is also the French bakery in world showcase at Epcot that has great pastries as well. Or the pastry shop in Norway I think.

Starring roles cafe in HS is fantastic, the seasons restaurant in Epcot is very good for breakfast, Never had breakfast at AK before so can't make a call on that one. I was not aware they had already closed at MK bakery, but did try the cinnamon roll at Gastons and it is great.

I would go for a almond pretzel in Norway or even Sunshine Seasons.

As a love for anything New Orleans/Louisana I would definitely take advantage of the beignets!

I am from Louisiana and beignets come by pretty easy to us that's one reason why I'm hoping to try other options as well! Norway sounds great, but I thought the countries didn't open until 11am?

I think you just answered your own question !

We are from Louisiana so beignets are easy to come by for us, so that is why we are hoping to try different options. We will go pick up some at least one morning but I'm interested in different ideas too!

Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney has their breakfast sandwiches as a snack credit! :)

You're correct, the countries don't open til 11:00 which would be a little late for breakfast.

AK has Kusafari and Tamu Tamu for some sweet snacks.
Epcot pretty much just Sunshine Seasons
HS has Starring Rolls and Writer's Stop
MK's Sleepy Hollow might be doing funnel cakes early, but not sure.

I alwys grab a cinnamon roll or danish at POR. Not as big as main st. bakery but still good.

Is this true??

I'm very excited if it is:banana:!
We are staying at POR also, so a quick boat ride in the morning for a b'fast sandwich sounds great! What time do they open?

I gotta say, the beignets at pofq were not that impressive to me! The dough has an odd kinda taste to me. Now, we just drove down to NOLA last week to rescue a pup. You better believe we stopped at Cafe du Monde for breakfast before splitting!

As for breakfast, we like a toasted bagel and cream cheese but that's the NY'ers talking! Starring Rolls at DHS has some great options. We also do a lot of bananas and apples.

I would bring some breakfast bars, and fruit for those mornings, and use snack credits for Mickey Ice cream...:rotfl2:

:wave2:

YES! It looks like they open at 8:30 so not a great option for Early Entry days, but you could be there at 8:30, get your sandwiches and head to a park to get there by 9! :goodvibes

Beware of using snack credits for breakfast. DH got an orange juice and a bagel at Boardwalk Bakery and the CM refused to let him use snack credits. Made him use a counter service credit. I told him if that was the case he should have paid out of pocket because she totally made him waste a counter service credit!!! I was NOT HAPPY!!

If you're using Disney transportation, there are no direct buses from DTD to the parks. You'd have to go back to POR or another resort and then get a bus to your park of the day. No way you'd make rope drop.
