My husband and I are doing DxDDP for the first time on our next trip - our past three we just did regular dining. We're trying to come up with a list of places we want to eat breakfast at (we'll be there for at least 7 days) Since we're staying at the Poly, we definitely will include Kona and Capt Cooks, and possibly Ohana. The only place we're ever had ADRs for breakfast in the past was 1900 Park Fare so we don't want to do that again. What are some good places for TS breakfast? We don't want places that are going to take too long since we are just 2 adults which is why I'm iffy on O'hana. CS suggestions are fine too, there are probably some good ones out there we haven't tried! TIA!

I would suggest Crystal Palace in MK.

The buffet while most like every other brkfst buffet, has Puffed French Toast. Mmmm, highly recommend trying it. It is a bit different yet very good.

I agree Crystal Palace has great puffy French toast and made to order omlets.
Also BOMA at the A K Lodge is real good

I'd suggest Cape May at the Beach Club. It is a character meal but it is very low key and relaxed. The food is fabulous and we think that it is a great way to start a day at Disney.

Our favorite is Boma. If you like buffet Boma has a large variety of foods to choose from. And you can go back up for seconds!

I would take the monorail over to Contemporary and go to the Wave or Chef Mickey's and also you can go to Grand Floridian and do the Grand Floridian Cafe. That would be close by and they all have good breakfast's. Kona is my favorite, so I would do that a couple of times!! :thumbsup2

Crystal Palace an hour before the park opens is wonderful! Delicious food, excellent service, beautiful restaurant, puffed french toast!!!! And you get into MK early!

Cape May Cafe is also good...as an above poster said, more low-key for a character breakfast but good food and service.

Chef Mickey's is so much fun! Very easy to get to from the Poly too!! Great food, and the classic 5 characters are there so it is so much fun. Hey, what's a trip to WDW without having at least one meal with Mickey? ;)

You know one CS that I always enjoy is the Main Street Bakery...they have the best croissant egg sandwiches!! Not just the sandwiches but other yummy breakfast foods!!

Oh man, lots of awesome suggestions. I hadn't even though about the Wave!!!

We were thinking about trying to do one AK breakfast, but I'm very hesitant... we're not very good at getting up early to get to things at Disney so I think we're better off staying close.

So far, we have.... Kona, Ohana(?), Capt Cooks, The Wave, Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace as definite, although I don't want to have so many breakfast ADRs because we're terrible at getting up early like I said, but maybe we'll be better off if we get up early and don't stay out so late like we normally do.

I agree Main St Bakery is very good, I think we ate there for breakfast on our honeymoon.

can't wait to try this puffy french toast!!! We LOVE tonga toast, I think that is why my husband wants to stay at the Poly so much - easy access!

Don't discount the joys of breakfast in bed -- room service is always a delightful option.

For a calmer breakfast, we love the Grand Floridian Cafe. I really like the buffets, but sometimes I just want a quiet breakfast (did I mention the room service option?). It's a pleasant walk from the Poly or simply a monorail stop away.

My current favorite is Kouzzina. They play with some really interesting flavors there, like the stacked Kouzzina breakfast which includes sweet potato hash and an artichoke spread. I'm hoping that the Grand Floridian Café gives Kouzzina a run for its money when I try it for breakfast for the first time in a few months. Their maple-vanilla French toast sounds divine to me.

Grand Floridian Cafe is a must. Maple vanilla French toast = much better than Tonga toast and beautiful setting.

Boma is great! You can get a late breakfast and call it brunch:)

We absolutely agree that Kouzzina is so good. It was our favorite breakfast on our most recent trip.

We were there a couple of weeks ago and LOVED Ohana. This was our first time trying it and it was wonderful. We also love Kona and the Crystal Palace. Didn't do the Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast but supper there was great.

oh man, so much good food... I better buy bigger clothes for when we get back, regular dining is a lot of food, I can't imagine how stuffed we are going to be after deluxe dining. We're hoping to have 9-10 days in Disney next time so hopefully we'll be able to squeeze everything in, it all sounds good and I LOVE breakfast!!

I personally loved Rainforest Cafe when we had breakfast there! Although we haven't done a whole lot of breakfast TS, that one was simple but delicious and hearty.
