Hello everyone:wave2:

I am in search of the best place to have breakfast at WDW:cloud9: . My DH and I are going to be there in July(without child) and I want to make a breakfast ADR and have it be a surprise for DH. Characters are not a MUST, but if they are there that's good too. Please tell me your favorite spot for breakfast and why. Thanks everyone! :wizard: Jen

We (myself, DW, DS 16, and DD 11) love O'hana's for breakfast. Watching Stitch is worth the price (check out my avatar!). And if you don't want the characters, Kona Cafe is great ! Good luck !!

I like many of the Disney Breakfasts...Iheard alot of good things about Cinderells Castle, but haven't been and am not sure if your DH will enjoy the Princess characters.

Depending upon where you're staying - Cape May at the Beach Club is one of my favorites. It's a yummy buffet that includes Mickey Waffles. It's a character breakfast with Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale. It doesn't seem as "hectic" as other character breakfasts to me. If you're staying at Beach Club, Boardwalk of Yacht Club it's very convenient to get to. If not you can get there via EPCOT or DH. If you go before the parks open I suggest a bus from your hotel to DH and right in the front there's a boat from DH to Beach Club.

I also heard good things about Ohanas at Poly and am trying it when I go in Sept.

It depends if you want a quiet or more active breakfast. Chef Mickeys is usually loud. Obviously non-character breakfasts are more peaceful.

What resort are you staying at?

We love Kona for breakfast. No characters but the food is great, the poly is fun . We've never done a character meal, we're thinking about trying crystal palace when we are there this fall.

My DH and I have been going alone our last several trips. Our must breakfast every year is Crystal Palace for the puffed french toast and seeing my favorite characters -- Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. We are also trying Cape May Cafe this year which we understand is outstanding. We have also done Chef Mickey's in the past (but not since the kids came with us) and we used to do Minnie's Menehue at Polynesian which is now Ohana's. We remember the food being very good, but I believe they've changed the food selection and set up and we are not fans of Stitch (sorry!).

Cape May at the Beach Club, if you go early it is super quiet and you get a ton of character time. The best yogurt and fresh fruit bar every, tons to choose from. Awesome bread pudding.

Another must do is Kona at the Poly. Amazing pressed pot coffee, tonga toast and the breakfast platter with macadamia pineapple pancakes.

I also say Kona or Cape May. We went to Kona on our honeymoon before we learned how to share meals so we could actually walk afterwards. It was so worth it. The coffee is great!

We took my mom to Cape May and the food was great. Even though we were said because my mom was leaving that day, we had a great server and the characters were cool even though we don't have kids.

I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Last year DH and I tried the Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness. If you have a bit of time and don't mind the journey it takes to get there it is very nice and relaxing with good food and a good price. After we ate we then took the boat to MK for the day. It was perfect!

our two must do's every trip are Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge) and Spoodles (Boardwalk Resort). Boma is a buffet and the food is awesome plus you can go out and view the animals after breakfast. My mouth is watering for Boma right now !!!

My wife and I also visit WDW without children. We love breakfast at Spoodle's and a big must is Cape May's character breakfast.

I will also say Cape May for a character breakfast or Kona for a non character breakfast.

Olivia's at OKW was wonderful! We had a lovely outdoor table and everything
was delicious and atmosphere was lovely. :goodvibes

We always did the crystal palace breakfast in MK. We were there three times without any children and went last summer with our 4 year old dauhter. We loved it everytime... and everyone likes Tigger and Pooh!

Cape May at the BC and Ohana at the Polynesian are both great:thumbsup2 We've done Cape May numerous times, but tried Ohana for the first time last September and will definitely be returning there next trip:woohoo: :woohoo:

Thanks everyone for you advise on breakfast for hubby and me. :woohoo:
All of your suggestions sound delicious, but in the end I chose 1900 Park Fare for our breakfast. We have been to the Poly, and wanted to try any dining we could at GF. Never had a meal of any kind there, and the CM suggested 1900. Thanks again DIS'ers. I'll let you know how it goes/tastes!:goodvibes Jennifer
