Can anyone recommend good breakfast buffets? Preferably not a character breakfast and also preferably someplace easy to get to from the Wilderness Lodge.

Before I read character - I would say CP or 1900 Park Faire- but if you are willing to order off the menu -
Take the boat to the CR - and monorail (next stop from CR) to the Poly.
Eat at Kona Cafe in the Poly....

Menu:
Tonga Toast - banana stuffed sourdough bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar with choice of ham, bacon, or sausage $8.99

Seasonal Fruit Plate - fresh seasonal fruit and a muffin $8.99

Ham and Cheese Omelet with home-fried potatoes and a biscuit $7.99; Substitute with shrimp $9.99

Eggs Benedict served with home fried potatoes $9.99

Big Kahuna - Pancakes, French toast, eggs your way, home fried potatoes, ham, bacon, and sausage $9.99

Two Eggs Your Way with home fried potatoes, a biscuit, and choice of ham, bacon or sausage $7.99

Pancakes with choice of ham, bacon or sausage $7.99

Blueberry Pancakes with choice of ham, bacon, or sausage $8.29

Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes - with macadamia nut butter and your choice of ham, bacon or sausage $8.29

French Toast with choice of ham, bacon or sausage $7.99

Steak with Eggs - A 5 oz. NY Strip grilled and served with two eggs your way, homefried potatoes, and biscuits $12.99

We like 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. The food is better than some other buffets we have been to at WDW and my girls like the characters there (Mary Poppins, Alice, Pooh, Tigger, etc.). O'Hana character breakfast is fun but it is not a buffet meal but is served family-style at your table. They have Mickey and friends there dressed in tropical outfits.

It's not "easy" to get to from the WL, but my favorite is BOMA at AKL. You could take a taxi over there and that would be easy. It would cost about $20.00

How about the Trail's End at Ft. Wilderness? Just a short boat ride away from WL. All the other monorail/MK buffet breakfasts have characters, I believe.

Oh, and seconding Boma. It's delicious.

I'd say Boma has been our favorite because they offer choices beyond eggs, sausage, pancakes, etc. I need my variety :)

another vote for Trail's End... it's the best bargain on property, easy to get to from WL (unlike Boma which is a pita to get to from WL imo), no characters and a buffet... it gets my vote :)

My favorites for Breakfast are Spoodles & Fresh, neither of which are terribly hard to get to from WL (bus to MGM, boat to BW or Sw/olphin)

But for a good, solid buffet breakfast easy to get to from WL, I have to agree, Trail's End at FW is a great deal.

I enjoy Boma for breakfast as well, but wouldn't go thru the hassle to get there from WL.

What about breakfast at Whispering Canyon in the WL? They have an all-you-can-eat skillet for breakfast. Maybe not as much variety as a buffet, but you can't beat the location! ;)

once again..... SIGH.....

yeah, what she said! :goodvibes

::MinnieMo We like the 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace character breakfast. Both are very enjoyable and you don't feel rushed as I have felt at Chef Mickeys.

How did I know that seeing your name in this thread, I'd find this kind of post? :teeth:

(Halfway been trying to convince Mike to go to Boma on Saturday early...not sure it's working)
