I and my parents (both in their 70's) are looking for a good breakfast buffet. I've read a lot of reviews concerning character interaction...I'm more interested in the foods. Which buffets have the better selection of food?

The best buffet on disney property is at Boma.

We enjoy Gullivers over at the Swan...great breakfast buffet, everything hot and fresh, eggs made to order. Nice atmosphere.

There is also Fresh at the Dolphin, but I think your parents would really enjoy Gullivers.

(no dining plan accepted)

If you are going to spend a day at AK park--
I found the Tusker House Breakfast to be very good.
There are lots of variaty in food.
The coffee was good also. loved the atmosphere!:thumbsup2

We will be trying Boma on our next trip and I've
read many good things about it.

We also love "Ohanas" Breakfast even though
it's not an offical Buffet, it is an all you can eat meal
and it's served Family Style. Good food.
Restaurant is located at the Poly Resort.

We loved both 1900 Park Fare and Boma for brakfast :)

i guess I would vote for Boma.

I think the food is about the same as chef mickey but less crowded
and hecktic so I would rate Boma a bit higher.
(plus the Jungle Juice they serve is awesome)

Thought it's not a buffet but all you can eat family style we really
like the skillet at WCC.

My all time favorite breakfast buffet is at CSR's Maya Grill. Excellent food, great coffee, and wonderful service in a usually pretty quiet spot. We thought the food was fresh, tasty, and varied enough to please just about anyone. :thumbsup2 Maggie

We love Gulliver's @ The Swan as well...

FRESH OJ, some of the best coffee ever (no kidding) and lots and lots of fresh hot entrees, even eggs Benedict to order. (although, that's at an extra cost, if I remember correctly)

We loved Tusker House, and liked Cape May very much. Haven't done Boma for breakfast, but it's one of our favorite dinner spots in WDW.

*whoops* !

I forgot that Gulliver's is now called 'Garden Grove'. :rolleyes1

Our favorites are Crystal Palace and Cape May! 1900 Park Fare is really good too, but I haven't been there in a while.

We love Crystal Palace, if you want a family style sitdown, we ate at 'Ohana. It was really good. They bring all the food to you.

When I went to 1900 PF in Sep 09, I didn't see a lot of the items listed above. I actually thought the selection was pretty limited.

I have enjoyed the Crystal Palace buffet. If they took out the breakfast lasagna, I'd probably try to talk my dds out of going. lol

The princess breakfast is neither good nor bad (except OJ was very bad), but it is more about the characters.

Next trip, we are going to try Donald's breakfast safari. We're also going back to CP and the princess breakfast. We are not going back to 1900 PF, even though the Mad Hatter almost makes it worth it! He was hysterical!

My vote is for Boma, ate there twice on our trip and really loved it. Had a fantastic variety of food and the server we had was lovely, really added to the experience. We ate straight after it had opened so wasnt crowded which is always a bonus. We plan to eat there a couple of times on our next trip too.

Close second for us is Chef Mickeys. Good food and good character interaction, was just magical seeing the reactions of the kids in there when they saw the characters! It is loud and busy though and where we were sat (on the right side of the restaurant, up the steps, by the windows) there was not much room to move especially when the characters came round and the kids were getting up for pictures. That said we did enjoy it and will definately be going back again!
