Please ignore some of my sarcastic captions on some of the pictures haha!
Wow I was just STUNNED at how beautiful the park is and how photos do not do the place justice at all! The castle was just stunning and it looked HUGE yet in photos I always found it to look quite small.
This is basically my first time as I did go when I was little but I don't remember that at all and I was just astounded! It was mine and my sisters 19th birthday and we went with my sisters friend and then met an old friend who know lives in Paris out there on the second day.
Highs:
-For the Friday (the 23rd) the queues were just awesome tbh, so fast! Thunder mountain had a 20 minute wait, and we literally walked through the queue and onto the ride.
-The atmosphere was lovely. When I first walked in I was a bit like "hmm where's the magic?" but then it just seemed to creep up on you and everywhere just felt lovely and magical!
- Happy birthday from Mickey. We told a CM it was our birthday and they told us to go to city hall so we did and the man there put us on the phone to Mickey and he wished both my sister and I a happy birthday! Was so lovely.
- I left my bag with my euros, passport and everything in it on Snow White's Scary Adventure and I was almost having a panic attack and I was scared as anything but when we asked everybody was helpful and the bag had been taken to City Hall!! I got the bag back with everything in tact after they asked me a series of questions but I was so relieved and I thought the service there was brilliant.
- Hotel was fine. Stayed at the Kyriad and the shuttle bus was so prompt and frequent and it was only 2 stops from the park which I found helpful. I was worried it being a partner hotel that it would pick up like 10 other ones before it got to the park but it was quick
Free breakfast was good too!
- The food was alright, however expensive it was still nice. WHAT IS IN THEIR COKE? Seriously, a cup of coke from Casey's Corner and it was the best coke I ever did drink!
- DREAMS WAS AMAZING AND AAAAAAH, videos do not do it justice!
- PIRATES WAS JUST AH! We did it on Friday and I absolutely loved it but then we did it again on saturday and the whole Pirate Island felt so magical. It felt like I was in the Caribbean with all the flickering lanterns and scenery, and then getting on the ride and having the intro bit where it feels heated and you see the moon and stuff like, my friend I was with who came just the Saturday genuinely thought we were outside for the beginning, it was crazy!
Lows:
- I unfortunately felt ill for most of the time there as we traveled in wet clothes on a coach and ferry for 12 hours basically! I got no sleep at all but that's nothing to do with the park itself.
- The weather there was rainy all day Friday which was annoying and on Saturday it was cold but then that's to be expected.
- When the CM told us to go to city hall, she also told us that we could collect fast passes for all of the rides. We were like AH great! So when we get to city hall he gives them to us but then when we try to fast pass on Peter Pan we get told by a rude CM with an attitude "Sorry I do not know what this is" and I replied with "Ok no need to be so rude" and she just tutted.
- Studios I was just not wowed by. We didn't do much there. We did "Motors, lights, action" and I found it boring and we did Armageddon which I also found boring. We did these first because the queues for the rest of the park were just horrendous, ranging from 50-90 minutes for a ride. We thought it would ease up but it didn't so after a while we just thought we'd wait. Even the fast passes on some rides were ridiculous. CRUSHES COASTER NEEDS A FAST PASS OK! That was ridiculous
- We queued up to see Goofy not long after we arrived and it took a while and then all of a sudden Goofy got up, pretended to trip over a rope and then ran off with no explanation from anybody. However, when we queued up for Belle she left and we were told she'd be back at 5 (it was like half 4 at the time) so we came back half an hour later and were near the front of the queue!
- There was a lack of characters roaming around the park as I expected to just see them randomly I guess like you see in the Florida and California videos but I suppose that may have something to do with the weather maybe?
Sorry if I sound like I'm moaning but really I had the best time and check out this ¬74.99
Back home I'm like "WHAT WAS I THINKING?" hahaha but I still love him all the best!
Please check out all my photos and post your fave ones or ask any questions you have!
Thanks to everyone on this board too for helping me when preparing for my visit!
