Best Bet at Waitlist for VGF 2 Bedroom-January?

Never have wait listed before so this is new territory for me.

I currently have a 1 BR Standard Villa booked at VGF for Monday night Jan 12th and a 2 BR Standard for the rest of the week (Through Friday morning the 16th). I borrowed 33 of the points from my 2015 points for the Monday night (Feb UY).

What would be the best way to get the 2 BR for the whole week without upsetting the apple cart. Should I wait list the whole 2 BR for the whole time (12th - 16th) or wait list the one night that I have the 1 BR on the 12th? Should I leave it alone? If I wait list the one night can the 2 - 2 BR reservations be linked together?

I get more confused because of the 2 BR Lockoff and 2 BR dedicated selection on the the wait list selections.

You should waitlist the date that you have the one bedroom. The waitlist category and room type should match the existing 2 bedroom reservation.

In addition to waitlisting the one night, also check the website frequently. Sometimes cancellations go out to the website before the waitlist is run. It's no big deal linking the 2 reservations if they are the same room type.

that brings up a point- if we have two nights booked and put in a wait list for one night and to use the points from the two nights to fulfill the one night wait listed, if it came through, would it cancel both nights or just the one in common? Points for one night wait listed being less than the one night of original reservation
