Best Beds

Like you'll have time to sleep! LOL!

Supposedly, the "heavenly" beds at Swan/ Dolphin are delightful.

Personally, I've always been so tired after spending all those days in the parks, I could sleep on a board . . .

Just a funny bed story...

The first time that I was visiting WDW I was staying at the Grand Floridian. The bed was so horrible..and I mean horrible. There was actually a spring sticking up from the center and it was so old that it had that "sinkhole" in the center (it was king size). I coudn't take it a minute longer so I went to the front desk the next morning and asked if they could please change the mattress. I said that everything was wonderful and the hotel was beautiful but the bed was the worst! And I wasn't kidding...it was a disgusting mattress!
Several minutes later, about 3 hotel employees come racing over to me in the lobby where I was sitting with my family and apologized profusely. Then they insisted on comping me for that night of my stay! Wow...something free at WDW.
So anyway, I smiled when I saw this post. I can't tell you where the beds are comfiest, but I sure can tell you where they weren't!!!!

Swan and Dolphin are the best. We have stayed at CSR and POR in the last year and they were good too, newer pillowtop and comfy. Worst was at Pop last February.

Bed comfort is relative, as each person has different criteria that determine what makes a bed comfortable. I like a supportive, slightly soft mattress. I want to feel cozy and enveloped in bed, not like I'm sleeping on the floor.

The most comfortable Disney bed I've had recently was at CR. It was absolutely sublime! The bed I had at BCV last February and at BWV this month were very similar, and very comfortable. All of these beds appeared to be fairly new when I did my routine bedbug check. I know they were in the process of replacing mattresses at BCV when I was there, because I saw them in the hallways bringing in the new ones and taking out the old ones.

We just stayed at CSR for 2 nights and the bed killed my husbands back, he found it very uncomfortable. I thought it was ok but would have guessed it was older than 2 years from the condition. We also stayed at POR and while the room looked beautiful the mattresses looked old and the springs on the beds were creaking like crazy, especially the one my children slept on. I usually never hear them turning while sleeping but I sure did there! They didn't complain it was uncomfortable tho.

Hubby and I honeymooned there in July 2006 and the beds were FABULOUS!

I can say this primarily because hubby put his back out badly the day before our wedding and the only bed we slept on during our honeymoon that didn't make him hurt was the bed at WL. (We were there after the refurb).

Basically they are firm, but have that sort of 'space fiber' give to them so they conform to you. Great for back and side sleepers!!

I can't wait to get back to them!!! *drools just thinking about it!*

I usually don't sleep well in any bed that is not my own. However, I have always had good night sleeps at the CSR...I like the beds.

All Star Music has the new pillowtop matresses. They are almostas comfortable as the Westin Heavenly beds that are at the Swan and Dolphin hotels.

The Swan/Dolphin offen has great rates that cost about as much as a Disney Moderate.

It is a real 4 star hotel.

Deluxe but not as expensive as Disney's deluxe resorts.

The heavenly beds are ...well heavenly.

The Grotto pool and hot tubs are fun and relaxing.

Plus Epcot and MGM are just a short boat ride or walk away!

From Epcot hop on the monorail and head on over to the MK!

Have fun at Disney wherever you choose to stay!:wizard:

I vote for WL too, our last trip there I really enjoyed the beds. I got a great night sleep every night, nice fluffy pillows and a good mattress. WL rocks!!

Beds in the newly renovated rooms at GF followed by Swan/Dolphin

Well I've only stayed at the AllStar Movies- but our bed was extremely comfortable. They had thick fluffy pillows- and I slept really well. From the posts I guess it seems to be the luck of the draw- on which places have nice beds. It should be which rooms have nice beds! :rotfl2:
