Best Beach Near Disneyland?

We are going to DL at the end of the month and are going to replace our Universal days with a short beach stay. What is the best beach or some good beach hotels that are within an hour from DL?

Huntington and Newport Beaches are within 30-40 mins, both great beachside towns with nice boardwalks and piers. Both are within easy reach of Anaheim as a day trip or you can of course stay there. Newport Beach is my favourite and arguably has more going on.

If you’re flying out of LAX, then nearby Santa Monica would be a good option as well and there is an amusement park on the pier.

Newport Main Beach (between the pier at 21st street and 15th street) or Corona del Mar

Just went to Newport main beach Thursday. Water was cold, but it was gorgeous.
