I'd suggest Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ which is located in a shopping plaza at the intersection of Kirkman and Conroy - less than a ten minute drive from the parks. I've never actually dined there but they've catered work events for us several times and everything has been yummy.

I HAVE dined there. It's pretty darn good. I've had better (I"m a BBQ hound...), but not much. It's better than pretty much almost anything you'd find in the NE or NW parts of the country (with a few rare exceptions)....and easily as good as most of the stuff you find in the better places in the South and Mid-west parts of the country.
Basically, it's not the best BBQ you can find in the US. But it's better than MOST BBQ you can find in the US.
Edit: It is quite a bit better than Sonny's. I've never been impressed by Sonny's...it tastes like "chain BBQ". Better than Chilis, but a lot like Smokey Bones.
