I'm a lurker here as it's been years since I've been to WDW. I have a question about date night options. We're going to WDW December 2nd through 9th and I'd love to take my wife on a bar crawl date night. I'm looking for 4 or so lounges/bars/restaurants where we can have small plates and drinks. Outside of the parks only as we will not have tickets to use that day. Bonus points if there are good opportunities to see special Christmas decorations. I'm thinking Epcot resort area, portions of Disney Springs, or monorail resorts are all options. So, where would you go? Specific restaurant/lounge choices?
Thank you in advance!

All are great but I think if holiday decorations are the goal, hit the monorail resorts - maybe add a boat ride over to Wilderness Lodge if time permits

Contemporary - hit California Grill at its 4:30 open. Outer Rim has nice views but can get noisy next to Chef Mickey’s. Wave is nice too.
Polynesian - Tambu Lounge if not down for refurb or Trader Sams (limited drink menu - not traditional bar) or the patio, weather permitting
Grand Floridian - Mizner’s Lounge
Wilderness Lodge - Territory Lounge or Geyser Point, weather permitting

Disney Springs, Monorail Resorts or Crescent Lake (Epcot resorts)

There are a lot of bars at Disney Springs. If I were to be the one picking I'd take the Edison, Homecomin' and Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar and maybe the outdoor bar at Paddlefish if it's in the evening and the weather allows.

Monorail - Tambu Lounge, the Wave, Mizners (or the seated bar at Citricos).

Crescent Lake - Abracadabar, Bluezoo lounge at the Dolphin, maybe Kimonos at the Swan, Crews Cup, Martha's Vineyard

Whats Highway in the Sky?

The Highway in the Sky Dine Around is essentially a WDW-sponsored monorail crawl. See description at link below. It's pricey ($170 per person) but it is five "courses" including a sit-down dinner at Citricos, you're escorted from stop to stop in a private monorail car, and you have guaranteed fireworks viewing. Looks like it is only available Mon - Thurs and right now only dates through August show on the site. I haven't tried it as we prefer to create our own customized version but I have heard positive reviews.

If you do the Crescent Lake loop consider a visit to Jelly Rolls. There is a $10 cover per person.

However, considering the Christmas decorations I'd start at Wilderness then boat over to the Contemporary (or MK) and do the monorail loop.

Thank you! It looks really fun but ::yes:: on the pricey side. Thanks for the link.
