We will be taking our family of 5 (kids 2, 4, 6) to WDW this fall. We have not stayed on property as a family, the last time I stayed was in college! We are looking to take advantage of the free dining plan (initially we were looking at spring break but the free dining plan makes the fall more attractive). We would prefer a 1 bedroom so that we can close the kids in the bedroom and watch TV etc after they are lights out!

Your cheapest options to have a separate bedroom would be Ft. Wilderness cabin or AoA suite or AllStar Music suite

We are a family of five (ds' 6, 7 and 8) and we are staying at AoA in a cars suite, with free dining in Sept. It's a value resort, so the free dining is the QSDP, but the option of upgrading to the DDP was offerred. We chose not to upgrade, and instead booked one ts lunch which we will pay oop. We had the money put away to stay in a moderate, but the family suite and awesome themeing at AoA won me over when I actually went to my TA to book the trip. My kids will be thrilled with three pools and an arcade right on resort. My husband was thrilled for a seperate bedroom and two bathrooms haha.

This is the first trip to the World for our kids, my husband and I have both been once previously when we were teens and both of us stayed off resort, so its our first time staying in the World. To me, AoA screams Disney :)

Wouldn't you get more for your money with an offsite villa?

I thought I read that the dining plan was not available at art of animation?

You have been given good options.

I have stayed in a cabin at Fort Wilderness and really enjoyed it. The bedroom had a double bed, set of bunks and tv. The living area had a full kitchen, tv, couch and murphy bed.

We have also stayed at CR, Poly and BC. All 3 had 2 queen beds and a daybed.

We also had connecting rooms at the Swan. One room had 2 queen beds and the other had a king and sleep sofa bed.

We ended up buying DVC and have stayed at BLT and BCV. At BLT you could stay in a 1 bedroom. The bedroom would have a king bed and full bath. The living area would have a full kitchen, queen sleep sofa and twin sleep chair. Also additional bathroom.

We are a family of five and have AoA booked in November. AoA is NOT included in the free dining this time around. Wondering if we should switch to All Star Music, which we have stayed at before and liked...it will save us a lot of money. Any thoughts on AoA vs. All Star Music. Is AoA worth the extra $600+ dollars?? Thanks!!!!
