Hi!

We are off to Disney in three days and we are using the meal plan for the first time.

We have all our ressies taken care of, but I was wondering where to get the best and biggest snacks throughout the parks.

What about a breakfast-ity snack? Since there is no breakfast offered on the 'free meal plan', I was wondering if we could use our snack vouchers to get a 'breakfast' substitute.

Thanks much!!!!:flower3:

We had a pretty good system worked out on our last trip when we had the dining plan, there were four of us.

In the mornings, we would go down to the food court, and DH would use one counter service to get a "real" breakfast, and he would share with my oldest DS. Then me and younger DS would go into the gift shop and get a BOX of doughnuts for one snack credit! (entemann's I think its called??) They were really good, we all kinda shared and we all ate breakfast every morning for one snack credit and one CS!
HTH!

You can use snack credits for breakfast items at Main St Bakery and for fruit tarts, etc at Epcot. I'm sure there are many other options. We always share meals also.

WOW! What great tips! I will check on the doughnuts, but I never thought of maybe using one counter meal for breakfast! Five of us are going and I think we could survive on 4 lunches, or even three if we got two breakfast platters...

THANKS!!!!!:cheer2:

There are great fruit and cheese combo snacks at various locations - pricetag at AK for this was $5.99-ish - we did this twice; we like so much that it was a tasty and healthy option.

Yeah, in December 2007 we were able to use one snack credit for a box of donuts but I heard they did away with that. :sad2:

We use the general rule that to be Snack credit worthy, an item needs to be at least $3. If it is less than that, we pay for it with cash.

I still think that the best snack credit items are the ice cream items... floats, shakes, or the Mickey head ice cream. They are one snack credit each and are really refreshing.

Is this anything like "sponge worthy"??:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Agree... we love to get our snack items that are refreshing... we also like the frozen lemonades & mcflurrys.

One of my favorite snacks is the carrot cake sandwich from the writers shop in HS. I will gladly pay for it OOP if I don't have dining plan.:thumbsup2

but the ice cream shop on main street was packed. So we went next door to the bakery and asked if they had ice cream. They did, but we could only have some if it was a la mode? Anyway, we found out that an apple turnover with ice cream is only one snack credit... the same as without ice cream.

We had lots of credits left over at the end of the week.. even after going to buy stuff to bring home I was buying strangers treats. The dining plan is just too much food for us.

our biggest bang for our buck breakfast item was in the food court was wheat bread for .69/ 2 slices and then free peanut butter by the toasters. DD and I had toasted PB sandwiches every morning!
