I'd love some feedback on the best bag, backpack, purse, etc. that you carry to the Parks with you. If you have a picture or a link to post, that would be great! I'm looking for something to hold my junk for out next trip - I'll have 2 kids with me (no stroller!!!!). :dance3:

I live out of a backpack. You can throw whatever in.. I avoid a purse at all costs. Just too bulky to lug around. I have carried a wristlet with my KTTW and camera in it. Any comfy backpack will do! I prefer North Face because they do not hurt my shoulder or back.

You're sure to get an array of answers. I carry an Eastport $15 backpack I picked up at Walmart years ago. It's machine washable, durable, and I don't care if it's beat up, dropped, stained, stepped on, or damaged in some other way.

Another vote for backpack! I have tried different shoulder bags and packs, but a simple Jansport backpack works for us. And I got a light blue one so DH doesn't mind carrying it! :thumbsup2

My Land's End backpack is getting ready to go on its 3rd Disney Trip. It's perfect b/c it holds a lot, is lightweight and comfy and it's unisex, so I can make hubby carry it.

We carry swimming bag back packs, not sure if they're available in the US but anyone in the UK will now what I mean! They look like this...

The problem we have found with back packs is many of them are weighty without actually having anything in them and many are not waterproof.

The benefits of these bags is that you don't have to worry about your stuff getting wet on the water rides, they are really light and if you empty your bag, you can screw them up and put them in your pocket instead of carrying them around on your back.

I don't like carrying things around so I go for a really really small purse with an across the body strap. It has 3 little zippered compartments to keep cash/change, ID, roomkeys and a phone. BUT ... I carry a camera backpack which is pretty heavy. It does keep my hands free though which is a must. I think if you have whatever suits you and can accommodate as little or as much as you need to take with you, as long as your hands are free you are on a winning streak.

I vote for something that can be worn across the body.

Something like this:

But cheaper, obviously, I used the picture just to show the approximate size and type of bag I'm talking about.

I'm not one to sweat a lot, but I hate sweating, and I know that wearing a backpack all day long would make my back sweaty. If you are anything like me, go for something like the picture above. Get one as big or as small as you need.

That's the kind of bag I used on my last trip in June and it was great. I didn't even feel like I was wearing it and it didn't make me hot.

I always carry a backpack because:
I insist on bringing too much crap into the Parks. I know I should live on the edge and bring less...but I can't.... I must carry sunscreen, enough over the counter medicines to cure anything and everything...extra batteries for my camera...chapstick...snacks in case DH blood sugar drops....autograph books...ponchos...waterbottle....Vinylamtions or pins for the kids to trade...etc...etc...etc...

Funny true story: I saw a woman in one of the ladies rooms in MK who had a fabulous bag...looked like it would be perfect for me!!! Big enough to carry my haul but cute! I commented how much I loved it and asked her where she got it...she wouldn't tell me! She said.."online" and walked out quickly!:rotfl: Apparently she would like to be the only one carrying the perfect bag.

I used to go bagless and put my stuff in cargo shorts pockets but now my cargo shorts have worn out so I've been using a cross body bag. That's what I use every day at home and it's very comfy.

My current park bag has been the Bayliss by Overland Donner. Oh my gosh, I just went to www.ebags.com to get a picture for you and they don't have this bag anymore. That's too bad because I love it!

I did see this one and it looks like it would be good: http://www.ebags.com/product/ebags/piazza-day-bag/94553?lastterm=piazza day bag

I did realize it was too small for my Mickey Poncho though on my last solo trip so I think I'll be looking for something a bit bigger that allows me to put my poncho in it instead of looping it over my belt. It looked pretty silly doing that when my shirt wasn't tucked in. LOL

I also wear a Passporter Pouch with my important stuff in it like KTTW, Drivers License, cash, extra credit card, insurance card. Sometimes I leave the bag in the room and just take my Passporter Pouch with me to the parks.

I don't like backpacks because they make my back sweat. Plus on some rides, it's annoying between my feet. I use the "swimmer's back pack" as it's called above, with the rope-like straps, at the water parks but it would be annoying in the park for me since mine does not have pockets - everything is thrown in one pocket and I can never find anything.

I use a small cross-body bag (Coach swingpack is what I use) and it has 3 pockets - one in the back for my phone, a large zipper compartment for a small umbrella, wallet, camera, lotion, and a smaller button pocket up front for park tickets, FPs, chap stick and gum. Worked out well - I never had to take it off on rides even with lap bars and everything was easily accessible and easy to find.

I've started to use one of these instead of a backpack when I need to carry more things like on my last solo trip, the day before leaving I was heading into Epcot for a shopping trip and knew I couldn't send anything back to the room at that point so I used it to tote my wonderful souveniers around. I loved it!

i have 3 favorites...all baggallini.

bon voyage bagg...small for the light trips to the park
messanger sling bagg...holds LOTS of stuff (but i only have 1 kid)
and downtown bagg that i can't find on ebags right now...must be gone.

I have a small backpack that I love. It came from walmart for under $10. It is about 12" x 10" with a front pocket and a bigger back section. The straps are padded enough to fit comfortably (I've tried the cinch sacks and they aren't comfortable - they dig in to my shoulders after a while). Not too many pockets so it goes through security quickly and I am not searching for which pocket I put something in. It is small enough to force me not to carry too much stuff. It is big enough for my essentials. I sometimes use a D ring to clip my refillable mug or ball cap on the outside if I think I might want it later and I have hand sanitizer clipped to the zipper.

I've tried cinch sacks, big backpacks, cross body bags, and fanny packs. This backpack has been the winner by a longshot.

On our upcoming trip, my husband doesn't want to carry a bag.:confused3 I have a 3 and 9 yo. Talk sense into me before I agree to this craziness. We usually carry a purple Jansport with lots of pockets. That way, I can forget which thing I put in which pocket and there's a nice little panic until I find it!

We had a stroller for things like water and I just used this one, which was with me at all times for anything valuable.
