I am starting to purchase odds and ends for our trip coming up in a little over 2 months and am in desperate need of a new bag. I'm the type who wants to have EVERYTHING I could need at my fingertips and tends to over-pack.... I've heard good things about the brand Baggallini, but I was wondering if anyone could give me some more good bags out there. I'm looking for something that i can wear as a backpack or as a messenger bag. Something lightweight, but that holds a fair amount of stuff.

THANKS!

I prefer the Travelon Messenger to the baggalini bags.

I have to have room for my sketchbook, pens, camera, fresh socks.... i often also have a granola bar or some such thing on hand. These bags have no problem with this, and also have organizer-type pockets and zipper compartments and such... zipped shut it is about the size of a stack of three dvd cases. The side gussets zip open to allow it to expand for more inside space. I really like these bags, they are well-designed to hang properly and weigh almost nothing on their own.

Just my two cents' worth.... :thumbsup2

I have a Baggelini but did not use it in the parks, I instead bought a Jansport Sling and found it to be wonderful! It does not carry as much as a regular backpack would, but still carried everything I needed to take to the parks daily! :goodvibes It could be carried by its handle or slung over my shoulder.

I just received the Overland Juno bag which is a little smaller than the Donner bag and it looks like it will be perfect. I also own the Travelon Messenger bag which I love for around home but I was afraid of the magnetic's ruining my credit card strips.

Loved the Baggallini messenger, myself.....In lime green, of course. DH refused to carry it. :rotfl:

We had an infant at the time and it held his diapers, travel pack of wipes, snacks, sippy cup, camera, just about everything we needed! We like to travel light, though.

My Juno bag just arrived today. It's a little smaller than the Donner bag but still a PERFECT size. Depending on what type of trip I take will depend on which bag I use.

If it's just me, than the Juno is perfect. For my daughter & and I and if I think I will have to hold her drink and more snacks, then the donner bag it is.

They are both great!

I like the overland donner! i think i will order one. can i bring it on the plane as my personal item? they say you can bring a purse, briefcase, etc.......so this would be ok right?
seems like it will hold more and be easier to get in and out of than my vera backpack which i was planning to bring.

I just looked at the Overland Donner on-line and it looks awsome! I am going to get it for a diaper bag for my wife (when we get preggers--which may be now!)

--awsome bag!

Another vote for the Donner!

I bought mine before our trip last October and I still use it everyday! The only problem I had was that when I wore it diagonaly across my chest (a must for park touring) the strap cut into my neck a bit. Luckily I noticed this before our trip, so I ended up using one of those little padded carseat strap covers and it worked perfectly!

This is first I've heard of the Juno, though...I might have to check that out!!

Wanted to mention that the inside pocket in the Juno does have a zipper which is nice.

Haven't tried the Donner, but I have Travalon and Baggallini messenger bags. I prefer the Baggallini in ripstop nylon. I don't like the flap on the Travalon. The Baggallini works more like a backpack zipper.

I have both, the Donner and the Juno, I like both very much, the Juno is nice and small which fits my life style more. I only carry the Donner when I have to carry everybody else stuff.

I just got a Donner bag - haven't tried it out and our trip is November 25th - I think I have one of those car seat belt covers - I'll have to find it to take with us
thanks for the warning

I have the Baggallini and really don't like it. I recently ordered two of these Overland Donner Equipment Placer bags (one in lime green and another in picante red). That's a great clearance sale price (43% off) and shipping was only like $5.00 for both of them. I looked at other sites and and even on ebay and no one was even close to that price. For less than $50.00 bucks I got two great bags.

I also have a small light tan colored leather back back that I won on ebay that I like.

I went with the Juno because I don't care for the front flap on the Donner. I do have the Overland Placer also which I'll pack for Disney just in case but that flap bothers me. The Juno zips in the front which is great.
