I have never taken advantage of morning extra magic hours at Magic Kingdom, but I am planning to during my trip next June. What would be the best attractions to visit during that time?

The most popular rides at rope drop are Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Peter Pan. Your best bet would be to FP both of these rides. Also try to get as much done early before the crowds come in. Some rides with longer lines later in the day are all 3 mountains, Space, Splash, and Thunder, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion.

Our usual EMH at MK starts at Space Mountain, followed by Buzz Lightyear, then we head up to Mickey's Philharmagic. Depends how the crowds are, but Space Mountain might be ridden a few times! Since I don't ride that, I jump on the People mover while I wait for the family! I have yet to see them load into a Space Mountain ride vehicle, but that would be so cool to me!

Well usually only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are open during the EMH at MK, was there today. Usually we do PP & WP first and then depending on the crowds and FP picks dictates where we go from there. PP was 45 min by 8:45am this morning.

What would be the best attractions to visit during that time?

These are the attractions open during morning EMH:

Ariel's Grotto
Astro Orbiter
Barnstormer
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Carousel of Progress
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
"it's a small world"
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Mickey's PhilharMagic
Peter Pan's Flight
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Space Mountain
Tomorrowland Speedway
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

We are now 2 adults and 2 teens, so we would be heading toward 7DMT first and try to get a couple rides in there. Then Peter Pan and then head over to Tomorrowland and get in line for Space Mtn.

But, if you have smaller kids, I'd FP+ 7DMT and start at Peter Pan and Pooh, then we would definitely have hit up the Speedway, as that was one of my boys' favorites, and anything you can do to shorten the wait in the car fumes is a good thing.

Great suggestions. I am planning to go to MK twice at rope drop (one with EMH) and twice in the afternoon/evening. I think I am going to save my advance MK FPs for the days we hop there in the afternoon/evening and do standby lines on the days we rope drop. That gives me 6 total advance FPs for MK. I usually book 7DMT (twice), Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, BTM, Peter Pan, Enchanted Tales with Belle, and sometimes Princess Fairytale Hall (these are on trips when we haven't hopped and have spent 3 days at MK). I have to narrow down these selections. Which attractions would I be safe rope dropping? Of course there are also other attractions that we will hit at rope drop as well...Winnie the Pooh, Little Mermaid, Astro Orbiter, Jungle Cruise, Barnstormer....the usual attractions that get long lines, but not necessarily FP.

I would save Space and Princess Fairy Tale Hall for rope drop. ETWB too but we tried that and there were not enough people in queue to do a show.

Space, Splash, & BTM are all good ones to hit at rope drop. Space & BTM are also short enough that you could probably ride multiple times in a row pretty quickly if you wanted. I would save 7DMT for one of your FP+ selections as a lot of people still head there at rope drop. I wouldn't waste your EMH or rope drop time on ETWB since it's a long-ish show. See that one with FP+ in the afternoon/evening.

We usually hit Peter Pan first, and then Space Mtn over and over again until we're sick of it or the line gets long. We save 7DMT for FP.

Same thing, but in reverse. Do the most popular attractions as late as possible. The later the better in regards to wait time.

Is this the order you would go to these attractions?

For me and my family yes, that's likely the order we would go with but I know we've likely never get past Buzz

We usually only do the night time EMH, but one of the rides that we always do then is Tomorrowland Speedway. We like to ride it, but don't think it's worth using a FP for or waiting in line for. So EMH is a good time to ride it.

We also like to grab a ride on the Tea Cups or Dumbo, which we don't normally ride for the same reasons as Tomorroland Speedway.
