Best Attractions to Take a Nap

DH and I still laugh about the unplanned nap we both took during the Circle of Life movie at Epcot. Just couldn't keep those eyes open! :)

I will be the first to admit I have fallen asleep in HOP and COP more than once. Both are great locations - I could see where Ellen would be a good option also too.

Hall of the Presidents, hands down

1. Cushy velvety seats
2. Darkness
3. Amazing AC in there
4. Show isn't too loud
5. When the CM says the spiel right before it starts about respecting the office, it's like he's reading me a bedtime story. :goodvibes

Epcot seems to be the nap spot here on the DISBoards! My personal favorites are Tiki Room and Country Bear Jamboree in MK, although there have been times that I've conked out on any slow-ish moving indoor ride. Sis fell asleep on Splash Mountain on a particularly hot day :rotfl2:

Capt EO. Think most of my family may have had a short nap during this....even my hubby who is a MJ fan.

Ellen's Napping Adventure

:rotfl::rotfl:

Universe of Energy gets my #1 vote. I'd love to stay awake for it, but it's so dark, cool, and relaxing that I fall asleep every time. It gets my vote for the best because it gives you the longest napping time and the most comfort. :cloud9:

I have also been known to fall asleep in Carousel of Progress, American Adventure, and Hall of Presidents. I do fight to stay awake during COP and AA each time, but the joy of napping usually wins me over.

LoL I've never fallen asleep at the Parks but The People Mover is where I go when I need to relax.

I've fallen asleep in Muppets, Circle of Life, Mickeys Philharmagic, Capt EO, Norway, and obviously Ellen. Ellen is great for a nap.

Places I slept my last trip in March...

American Adventure
People Mover
CoP
Hall of Presidents
Tiki Room

That being said, I barely slept at night at the resort- just couldn't get comfortable.

Hall of Presidents (My personal pick :thumbsup2)
Carousel of Progress

Spaceship Earth
Ellen's Energy Adventure

Finding Nemo

DHS :confused3

to the mortification of my children, I lie down during Ellen

YES!!! Someone else that understands! :cool1:

I do the same from the time the lights go out. Can't say I fall asleep but, there's a euphoric sense of relaxation on that attraction. LOL!! It's a wonderful place to go after having one adult beverage too many around the World. ;)

The people mover is another one to chillax on. There are times that I don't want to cross the park so I just get off and get back on again and if there aren't too many people waiting on the platform, I ask for another ride.

there is a movie in epcot about the environment narrated by characters from the lion king. i saw a lot of people asleep during that one

This! The Circle of Life show is the only attraction that I have ever actually fallen asleep at - and I don't nap during the day unless I've got the flu or have a newborn at home ;)

This thread is cracking me up:rotfl2: was sleeping on Universe of Energy before Ellen invaded it - and told DH this past trip that I wouldn't go on it as it was a real snooze fest (I sorta meant it literally) and I probably would be done for day if I fell asleep. I did fall asleep/doze in Nemo this time...at least as much as it is possible when a and excited 8 year old keeps poking you going "mommy did you see that" "mommy are you awake?" :rotfl: It was HOT that day, theater was cool and dark...was disappointed that people mover was down for refurb as that is a great place to chill...my (then 16 month old) and I rode that for an hour one trip while she napped and older DD went with DH to ride more exciting things:)

It's one of my favorite shows, but the American Adventure gets me pretty often. Especially after I've heard the Voices of Liberty and it's hot outside. That thing is 45 minutes of cool, dark napping pleasure.

I've also dozed off at Carousel of Progress.

I'm surprised at Nemo, just because I find those benches so uncomfortable! If they put in better seats, then yeah.

I hope Ellen isn't a member of the DIS! I'd hate to think what she would think if she read this! :lmao:

Hands down the American Adventure. First time we saw it, when the lights came up my youngest (9) and my husband were fast asleep.
