best area to "request" for upcoming trip in POR

just booked for POR in september. what buildings are the best to be near the pool but more importantly the food court. pools we can hoof it to. also will need advice for building which is smoke free as we have an asthmatic among us. anyone with any pictures of POR, i would love to see them.... i have checked all the online pics out but would love to see non disney distrubuted pictures. any of the pools, carriage rides, marina etc would be great

AB 14 is the closest to the Food Court. We were just in AB 18. I found it a little quieter than AB 14 but not as close to The Food Court or the bus stop. We were in AB 1832 and it was a non-smoking room - not sure about the building being non-smoking.

Just be prepared to not get the area you ask for. Unless things have changed in the last few years, POR is the one resort where my request for a specific area has never been met. I asked for AB twice, and neither time did I get it. However, when I stopped asking, I got to try it next trip! I really don't prefer one section over another, both areas have pros and cons. I thought the Mansions were a little prettier, but AB was closer to the Main Building.

really would like AB with trundle because DH is really tall and a complete bed hog. trundle would be great for our kids even though there are only 4 of us in the room. wonder if they would be willing to put us there because of extra tall DH????

We just got back from AB 15. We had requested 14 (which is definitely the closest to the main building) but 15 was not too far away. If I remember correctly, 18 is smoking optional.

We were in AB15 . However, I believe AB14 and AB 25 are all closest to the Lobby, Gift shops, and resturants. We loved Port Orleans! Thinking of staying there the summer of 2006! Let me know if you have more questions! Bus stop under 5 minutes to get to!

Did you mean AB 15 instead of AB 25? AB 25 is way out by the West Depot.
