similar to my AKL post below -- what are the best places (3 kids under 10) to stay at Port Orleans-Riverside?

Is Alligator Bayou the place to be? And if so, any particular buildings or rooms?

Any other PO-R tips would be great too. Never stayed there. I guess the boats are operational (yet)?

Thanks!!
Gregg

Building 14 in Alligator Bayou is the best, in my book! It is about a 2 minute walk from both the food court and the bus stop. It is about 45 minutes from Old Man Island. There are no bad views from this building, either, as it doesn't back up on a parking lot.

If there are 5 of you, you will be in the bayou section. As mentioned, Building 14 is the closest to the main building. The next closest buildings are 15, 18, 16 and 17. This is the first cluster of bayou buildings. Each cluster has its own quiet pool, but the main pool is just a few minutes away.

This cluster uses the main bus depot which is the 2nd bus stop (the bus stops at French Quarter first). This can be important, particularly on crowded mornings.

The boats are running to Downtown Disney. They run from late afternoon through the evening. There is also bus service. The bus is a little quicker, but the boat is so much fun - such a peaceful ride! We usually ride the boat to Downtown Disney and take the bus back.

Have fun!
