Best area of SSR

I have stayed at SSR once and liked it fine, we had a DTD view and were in Congress Park. We have to stay there on our next trip unless by the graces of god our WL comes through. So, were does everyone like to stay at SSR? We have 2 small children 3 and 20 months. Maybe up by the main pool? Any opinions?

The Grandstand area is practically on top of the second themed pool. This pool is not zero entry like the main pool which is a nice feature with the little ones but it does have a soft surface spray area. My DDs - 4 &2 went in both pools. They got tired of the spray area pretty quickly and some older kids were playing a bit rough so I was glad about that. They had more fun going down the slides at the High Rock Springs pool which is a short walk from the GrandStand area anyway. Stay away from the Carousel area. It is much too far from the pools - with kid stuff, you'd probably have to drive over.

We like the area close to the High Rock Springs pool and community hall for our young kids. Our older kids like anything with a shorter walk to Downtown Disney and DisneyQuest.

I have nothing else to compare with, but will say we LOVED our first SSR stay in grandstand! The Grandstand pool was a hit with my DS5 and was just across the parking lot form our building. High Rock Springs was a short walk, as well, but we liked being away from all the noise, hustle and bustle.
