Best Amusement Parks

I call shenanigans on this list. Just sticking with Disney, Magic Kingdom is not better than Disneyland Park and there's NO WAY DHS is better than Disneyland.

They talked about this on the disunplugged yesterday. Its from trip advisor they are all about reviews based on people with accounts. I would guess a lot of them are from the younger generations teens to mid thirties. Therefore a lot of them are looking for thrill rides DHS has the only thrill type rides in WDW. I also think this was focused more on Orlando than others as well. I would agree with what you said Disneyland is better than MK, and DHS should be low man on the list, but its based on reviews.

This is really just another modern media non-story. Trip Advisor has simply taken their current user-rating averages and manufactured a 'best of 2014'.

Among other things, Trip Advisor is know to use quantity of ratings, and recency of its user's ratings as positives. This is how a Best Western in Herald Square got rated more highly than a Four Season, and even the Ritz-Carleton Central Park in NYC. Methodology

If, as commonly believed, DLR does have fewer unique visitors than WDW, this quantity effect could help boost the Orlando parks.

It's important to remember that all crowd-sourced ratings like Tripadvisor, Yelp, Angieslist and the like should be taken with a grain of salt.

This. Spot on.

Anyone that knows theme parks knows that list is pretty skewed and not right. That water parks list is particularly off its axis.

The thing is 100,000 people could give a review on disney and 60-70 percent of them think that Disneyland or MK is the best for experience and worth but than discovery cove only have 1000 review and 80 percent think it was worth their money and they got a great experience. It's an example I'm sure many many more people reviewed on disney and universal parks than discovery cove but discovery cove got a higher approval rating because of less people reviewing it.

I also just thought of something else. I wonder how many people reviewed Magic Kingdom and thought it was Disneyland or vice-versa.

I live 4 hours south of Orlando and I have never even heard of Discovery Cove. I'll stick with my Disney Parks, thank you very much.

And honestly, there isn't a single ride in Discovery Cove (after doing my research). It's all "experiences which is great but not something I would spend an entire day doing and especially not something I would do in Orlando. Living in Miami I would much rather go to an actual coral reef to experience a coral reef. you can swim with dolphins at any touristy area as well. Anyone visiting Orlando is better suited saving their money and going out to the actual ocean on a boat to experience it's beauty.

Hasn't everyone seen Blackfish already? Aren't we done holding large sea mammals hostage?

It's an all inclusive thing drinks, food, experiences all in one thats why it probably got high reviews.

I didn't know that it was all inclusive. Hmm still not enough for me to rank that above any theme park but it obviously does satisfy the visitors that do chose to go! To each his own. But I still think that list is inaccurate.
