I am wondering what resort or restaruant has the best drinks.
For those of you that enjoy a good drink, please tell me what you had and where and post a pic if you have one.
I am looking to toast our "belated" honeymoon and neither one of us are champagne/wine drinkers.

Thanks for your input. :)

you need to use the search function and search Drinks around the world, or my favorite Post your alcoholic drinks thread!!

Here is the link:

I reccomend you starting at the last page - since the thread was started in '06!

I am so going to try a Welsh Dragon, if I can get them to hold the creme de menthe!! LOL

and keep an open mind - if you dont like champagne - go to Italy in Epcot - ask for the Rosa Regale - 1 glass to start with - its red - smell the berries - think strawberries, rasberries - taste it - not too sweet, but a hint of sweet - and as you drink it down - you dont get the heavy yeasty bubbles - you will be AWESOMELY SURPRISED - then - go back and see that one bottle is $19 buy it - take it back to the room - fill your wastebucket with ice, plop that baby in it - and 20 min later -

viola - an ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION!!

:wizard:

Raglan Road. It is an Irish pub after all. They have whiskey flights and beer flights and mixed drinks. MouseEarsJenny loved her Dubliner, and I was partial to the Aran's Island Tea. And the Guinness, of course.

This is one topic that i can help with.

Tambu Lounge has a lot of unique topical concoctions but is really busy and hectic.

Outer rim is great, there is always a seat and Ray is an outstanding Bartender

At the GF, skip Mizner's and go to Narcoossee's bar, You will not be disappointed in Sergio's service or his Rum runner

POFQ Scat Cats - Best Huricane ever!!

POR River Roost - Nice bar - Good service - Good Mojitos

WL Territory Lounge - I love this bar, great atmosphere

Epcot - Anywhere in WS. but the best being Germany, France and England

DS - One place only, the Tune in Lounge - GREAT

Cheers :drinking1

According to Samantha...whatever her name is on the Travel Channel, the best alcoholic drink in WDW is some orange smoothie concoction served in France in Epcot, but I saw that special about 6 months ago, and don't remember for sure what it's called.

I think the drink you are thinking of is the "Grand Mariner" Slushie (sp?)
If the anticipation is half the fun then :rolleyes1 then I'm going to suggest it's sister drink the "Grey Goose" Slushie. The GMS has an orange flavor and the GGS has a lemon. (Subject to correction by someone who has actually had these. :goodvibes)

Have fun.

Whilst I applaud your list, I must point out you missed the AKL's Victoria Falls.

In Epcot, Mexico, they have a margarita that is mixed with 3 flavors that I adore. I get it every time we go. It is right outside the pavillion by the lake area.

The orange is a Grand Marnier slush, very good, very sweet, not strong at all.

The lemon is a Grey Goose Slush also very good and not as sweet.

They were $9.00 each in January 2009 - I had two of each!

Try an English Rose at the Rose and Crown, right around the corner from France. My wife loved those.

What's in an English Rose? At Rose and Crown the Welsh Dragons are getting high praise - use the "search this forum" and type in Welsh Dragon - pictures!!

The Grey Goose Slush tastes much like a lemonade slushie - the Grey goose is smooth,

Gran Marnier is an orange liquore - so its orange taste is more... 'suttle' (I want to say darker, but what does dark taste like?? lol) I think they are both equally sweet!! Just my take tho! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Worth trying both!

>>>> off to search English Rose!!! :cool2:

What's in an English Rose?

Beefeater Gin, Apricot Brandy, Sweet Vermouth, Pineapple Cranberry and OJ

We liked these better than the Welsh Dragon. Peach/Melon drinks get 'done to death' in the Southeast

DH says the Green Tea Martini in Teppen Edo was really good last year.

Ahh...there are so many!!

  • Lapu Lapu - basically rum with pineapple and orange juice served in a pineapple [Polynesian - Tambu Lounge]
  • Frozen Margarita - comes in lime, strawberry, mango and green apple flavors. Can be rimmed with sugar or salt. [Mexico Pavilion - Epcot]
  • Pomegranate Kir - Champagne with PAMA liquer [France pavilion - Epcot]
  • Grey Goose Lemon Slushie/Grand Marnier Orange Slushie - [France Pavilion - Epcot]
  • Imperial Sampler - four beers (stella, harp, boddington's and guiness I believe...) [Rose & Crown Pub - UK Pavilion - Epcot]
  • Mt Fuji - tequila, pineapple juice, spite and blue curacao [Tokyo Dining - Japan pavilion - Epcot]
  • Torontopolitan - vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice and chambord [Le Cellier - Canada Pavilion - Epcot]
  • Ice wine - a Canadian specialty. Grapes are left on the wine till the first frost or until they freeze. They are picked and made into wine. The juice from the grapes concentrates into a syrup of sorts. It in insanely good, and insanely sweet. A dessert wine to be sipped. [Le Cellier - Canada Pavilion - Epcot]
  • Electric Lemonade - sprite, sweet & sour mix, vodka and blue curacao [50's Primetime Cafe - Disney's Hollywood Studios]
  • Conundrum - a complex white wine made of a blend of varietals. Slightly sweet, crisp and rich for a white. [California Grill - Contemporary Resort]
  • Longboard Lager - a beer from Hawaii [Kona Cafe - Polynesian]
  • Pina Colava - a blend of frozen pina colada and raspberry puree [Tambu Lounge - Polynesian]
  • Glow-tini - vodka, blue curacao, peach schnapps, sweet & sour and pineapple juice [All Resort Bars]

Enjoy! :thumbsup2

I am a little disappointed that mixed drinks have become so standardized at WDW (at least at the resorts). There are still a few exceptions such as the Lapu lapu (I think that is just at the Poly). I hate seeing that same list with the same pics everywhere you go. It feels like a chain restaurant. I know this is probably to help keep costs down. Also, it must be easier to get bartenders to fill in at different resorts when necessary.

If you want something "unique" then go to one of the countries in WS at Epcot as pp's mentioned. It feels more special.

IMH:drinking1O.

We love having drinks at the Outer Rim, which is in the Contemporary. There's great seats along the windows, which outlooks a great view of Bay Lake.

Got the Grey Goose Slush last month and it was quite refreshing on a hot day. Hoping to get dinner ADRs at Ohana next trip and looking forward to trying the Lapu Lapu or the Mojito at Poly.
