Best Airport

Hi everyone,

I am currently organising a mammoth trip to the States for next October, part of it includes our first trip to Disneyland and I can't wait! We will be arriving at Disneyland by hire car but dropping the car off on the day we arrive. The next leg of our journey, a few days later, is to fly down to WDW. Can anyone tell me which airport is the nearest to Disneyland and the best one to use for this flight? Also is there any form of transportation from the hotels or from Disney to the airports or will we need a taxi? We haven't yet booked a hotel so we could pick one based on transportation if that works out best.

Thanks for any advice and I apologise in advance for all the questions I'm going to be asking this year!

For a flight from California to Florida, I would guess that you'll want to fly out of LAX. It's not the closest, but I'm guessing its going to give you the most flight options. You might check SNA (Orange County/John Wayne) to see what your options are. Its a smaller airport, that is very close to Disneyland. If they have a flight that works- price/destination/time, then go for it!

For transportation, I would probably recomend super shuttle. It will be about $15 per person from the hotel to the airport. If you end up at SNA airport, you could take a taxi for about $35. If you ended up at LAX then a taxi will be over $80, so the shuttle would be better. There is also the Disney express/ airport bus. Its ecconomical, but I wouldnt say its my prefered method of transportation.

We flew into Orange County/John Wayne International on our Disneyland trip in July. I'd say we were no more than 20 minutes from DL.

We rented a car since we visited other places as well.
